I recommend that EVERYONE says that to their doctor. The body can do do incredible things if you don’t put limitations on what’s possible. The placebo effect isn’t fake. It’s just as real as anything else. In fact, new drugs only have to work slightly better than sugar.
Hey here's a strange idea.. what if Tom jumped off the building.. and his teeth and such got smashed against ledge of the other building?? Oops someone made a bad mistake.
He’s one of the great actors of our time. A total PoS but damn if his enthusiasm for film and story telling isn’t the bar in which all things are measured against.
It will never happen but I’d love Tom cruise and Jackie Chan to do a movie together and go nuts with the stunts, it would be one of the greatest movies ever
@@f1koh my buddy zane broke his collarbone once, like a clean break when he fell off a half pipe skating. He got up. Looked at us and just said "Dude... I think I broke my collarbone... that sucks." We had to take him to his mom to confirm, and yep. It was indeed broken. Some people can just break bones and somehow know I guess?
@@lorddoggo4353 ah that sucks. Yeah when I was small I cracked my shin it wasn’t fully broken, just a crack but I could tell it was damaged because of the intense pain
Focusing on the craft alone of this guy, he’s one of the GOATs and I hope people realize it before he’s gone. Never has an actor of this professional success been this physical at the latter half of his career. Fucking insane.
He's turning into the Buster Keaton of our generation. That man broke his damn neck and kept filming once. His last film he was doing his own stunts while dying of cancer.
@@joshlopez9056 just of the top of my head, the ones I remember him getting quite badly hurt are Project A, Armour Of God, Police Story, Operation Condor, Rumble In The Bronx.
He was running again in 6 weeks? That’s unbelievable! He’s 3 times older than me and I know that my body couldn’t heal anywhere near that fast. What a legend!
He uses mind techniques for healing. Our bodies respond to input, it's a mental/spiritual phenomenon and it works. Very complex to explain but to sum it up it is the power of positive thinking to the point of absolute belief. The Bible says in the book of John that what you believe comes true for you, it's the concept that "The Secret" that was published is based on.
I agree. He is the last ‘proper’ movie star A-lister that can create that real blockbuster movie effect where people talk and get hyped up. Luckily for us he has no intention of stopping yet.
I consider myself in pretty good condition for a 55 year old man. Compared to all the other men my age that I know, I’m in better condition.’ This man makes me look like a couch potato and he’s older!
In his 20's and 30's he did amazing movies like Risky Business, The color of money, Rain man, Top Gun, Coctail, Born on the 4th of July, Days of Thunder, Interview with Vampire....list is going on and on, probably one of the best actor who still making amazing movies.
My dad is a hard worker. He says “why does he make a movie and make what I won’t make in a lifetime (he’s an engineer/surveyor). I showed him this scene. Showed how he still completed the climb and limp in order to have a working shot to not need to come back when he healed. Did that without breaking character. Dad was like “yeah, I couldn’t do that”
Aside from the height, this man's got some insane genetics to be running in 6 weeks after the doctor saying it can't be walked on for 6 months and you may never run again. Especially at his advanced age. Tough as nails to pull himself up and complete the shot after all that. What a legend.
You have to understand that doctors are usually basing their estimate of your recovery off fact that the average person will do nothing to regain mobility or strength in an injured area. Our bodies can recover from nearly any injury or surgery if you are putting in the work of strength/ mobility training and rehabilitation. That work will be harder than anything you have done in your life, and doctors will assume you will not do it because most can’t.
Plus actors embellish everything. Not saying tom Cruise isn't tough and determined, but he's likely getting sauced to the eyeballs and the break wouldn't have been as bad as they make out
@@jacejackson1993 when I said sauced I meant gear to recover, not alcohol.. like sarms or peptides to ramp up your amino production and heal you faster. The guy is undoubtedly a weapon.
It's not that they don't expect you to do a recovery program it's that they aren't trained in implementing them or required to learn it. They tell people the worst result possible then send them to a physio and since most physios are horrible at active rehab and motivational interviewing most people don't recover.
If anybody heard Matt Damon tell the story about Tom running down the side of the building and the stunt coordinator told him, No, it's too dangerous you can't do that. So Tom said, "Ok, So I got ANOTHER stunt coordinator." I thought when the Doctor told him he would never run again - I was expecting he'd say, "So, I got another Doctor..."
I broke both my lower leg bones 3 weeks ago…I can’t imagine the pain that he was feeling once he broke that foot and still hauled himself over that roof and managed to get up on it and hobble past the camera. Respect to him.
As someone whose broken both my ankles I have no idea how he was able to keep running. I felt my ankle snap and there was no way I was walking on that foot, this man is a machine 😅
No. An OT on some level decides to have that experience. The difference is that the decision came from the being themself, not from either another being(s) attached and influencing you or from the situation triggering a mental command that one isn't aware of at the time of the incident in question. Tom knew he broke the bone simply because HE knew.
It’s really not even that - they just have enough money to be able to do literally nothing for 6 weeks other than take care of their health. No work, shopping, cleaning, cooking, hell, they can pay someone to bring the toilet to them if they want. You’d be amazed at how quickly you can recover if you don’t have to do anything else.
@@SpliffyHusk I broke Both ankles and dislocated every bone in both feet and had metal braces drilled through the ankle and into the shins to hold everything together. You can’t exactly walk that off haha
How come no one is mentioning anything about how as a devout Scientoligist he more than likely did all that healing and rehabilitation w/o aide of pain killers or medical advice? 😳
This is the difference between an actor who just knows how to act and a movie star which gives his soul to the movie for better experience for his audience and fans
Wow he is really amaizing no matter he broke his ankle but he know that this is going to fix quikly and he keep going this is Tomcruise the best 🌟😘💫💫💫💫💫🙋♀️🤩🌟💫💫💫💫
My mom had a huge car accident She was bedridden for 4 months, doc said that u will heal but u won't be able to lift more than a KG of weight from ur hands My mom disagrees said u r wrong Time flies My mother never lost hope After a year, she lifted a cylinder 15kg or so perfectly fines She always tellz us, doctors are angels, but this doesn't mean they will always be right, never lose hope
That reminds me of Bruce lee when he broke most of his body but and the doctors told him that he can't exercise ever again but he didi anyway and shocked the doctors he was truly a legend
