I think it's a little stupid to pay attention to famous people's lives, and yet I engage in that behavior, to some extent. What strikes me as most negative about him is his treatment of his wives and deep involvement with Scientology. I have also heard from a restaurant worker that he made too much of himself, and was a little bit of an a******. On the other hand, his work ethic and ability and willingness to learn new skills are simply phenomenal. I think I've also heard the occasional word suggesting he can also be a decent or kind human being, but I believe I've heard more chatter that says otherwise. I know I don't matter to him, and will probably never meet him. My opinion about him is entirely irrelevant to him, as it should be. Likewise, it is a waste of my time to concern myself with these things. I wish I didn't do it, but I do, sometimes.

Gonna have to disagree on that. You should Google his image from the 80's just to see how different he looked then compared to now. The plastic surgery, the reconstructions and of course, a completely new smile (new teeth, corrective surgery on jaw) He had a very different smile in Top Gun, Legend, Cocktail, etc...and I liked it. Ya, it wasn't a perfect smile, but sometimes it just works. And looks good
