Respect to Jackie Chan. He did do stunts which could and did injure him. Tom however does death-defying stunts himself like speed-flying down a mountainside as well as driving a motorcycle off a cliff and parachuting to safety.
@@tsfbaf303 Nah. It's mean Cruise just went for another safety guy for a second opinion probably the one that has more experienced and has more vision. It's like a doctor told you that you have cancer and you go for another doctor to get a second opinion. Well the first doctor is not going to loose his job just because his patient went for other doctor for a second opinion.
I discovered how much energy and gumption Tom Cruise has only fairly recently. Im not sure if, in real life, to the people close to him is too much, but to me, it's quite impressive in a good way

Nope. Safety guy needs to make sure how to do the sequence safely not just decide if its safe or not. If it's not safe, he needs to find a way to make it safe.
Seriously? You're wrong. He was obviously fired because he couldn't do his job because there next safety guy DID that stunt and it was a MASSIVE success. It made that movie a HIT!
@@jpc2470 I don't want to sound pedantic, but it wasn't his job to warn about the danger. Every stuntman in Hollywood would know that stunt was way dangerous. His job was to FIND A WAY to do that dangerous stunt as safely as possible. "We must build a plane that can travel faster than sound!" "We can't build a plane faster than sound. It's too dangerous! Hundreds of men will die in the attempt." "You're fired!" And you should be.
