Misheard your PSA the 1st time. I heard the path would have few puddles, and I thought but I often find lots of puddles. Then when you repeated it I heard you say the path would have a few puddles. Made me smile.
Great project Steve. Fascinating watching you dismantle the bag, a few heart stopping moments for me anyway. You had it all under control, as usual. Keep up the good work. Shine on Steve
I love watching your skilful repair and Restorations. Don't stop talking to us, it is facinating to hear what you are doing and the methods behind it. I sometimes think people saying talk less etc are just trying to harn your chanel.
The repair business is a completely different world than the bespoke making world & the manufacturing industry is another world in itself. Steve you choose the repair world and it seems to have treated you well. It is great that you have the skills and some experience in the other worlds which has given you the option to choose what you want to do. In the future if you want to switch your business to one of the others you can but it seems you are satisfied enough with the choices you made to not change for now. If you really want to keep your skills you can also practice in your spare time.
These designer bags are a gold mine! They cost upwards of 3000 dollars so when you do your magic for around 900 or so dollars the owner is happy to pay it because you make the items look better than new. Pays to be a skillful craftsman like you!!
I had a bag that needed new piping due to a puppy finding the bag. I sent it to one place for repair. I was never happy with the result because instead of replacing the ruined piping they simply patched it. I wish I would have sent the bag to you instead. Paying for another repair job would be more than buying a new bag so at least for now I will live with it. At least it’s functional. Too bad I didn’t find you first.
I find putting Castile soap and water in a foaming hand soap container makes a thick foam perfect for cleaning interior of purses, as it doesn't leave stains. Put the foam on a clean rag or brush, gently scrub the fabric and blot dry. Surprising how clean it comes. A little alcohol on swabs gets rid of ink and other oily stains. The foaming Castile conditions and cleans the leather beautifully, then after it's dry condition the leather. It does wonders for vachetta.
Another fabulous job by Steve. I like the talking, don't change that, and as you said, "there's a mute button", LOL! I'd love a bag like that! Take care, hugz, Tree
Lovely work! You’re absolutely right, this purse is a very unique design! It’s a good mix of aesthetic elements and utility. I’ve always been a fan of Tom Ford, aside from the colour (for me), it’s a statement piece while still being useable for everyday.
Yes! That bag is very nice! I love the zippers and the one on the strap I would use like a money belt...too cute! As per usual you gave it a beautiful new life!
I love red leather!! After watching this twice I have been inspired to give my much used, much loved, " not a Tom Ford" red leather bag an update. It was a gift from a leather artisan in central Mexico 30 years ago. I have cleaned the lining and now waiting on the red leather dye and leather conditioner to arrive. If all goes well I might tackle my red leather coat. I'll pass on attempting my red leather sofa. Wish me luck.
I live in Romania and shoes here are very very cheap if you know where to look. Just ordered some Florsheims penny loafers online for 35 bucks, new, with tags, old stock. Dirt cheap ! Would love to send them to you one day for re soleing, no matter the fee compared to what i paid for them, just to have something made by you !
I am happy to see the Steve, who we have come to love, bubbling to the surface. The Effervescent One has returned to his proper place. This was an excellent example of your skill and art merging into a fine result.
I really liked that bag 🎒 too Steve, in a manly way of course lol. I think it's just the bright red and big brass zippers because I know I have a liking to big brass zippers or yippers as my grandson calls them lol Great 👍 👌 job looks awesome, as usual
This lovely bag is the Jennifer named for Jennifer Anniston. Well worth repairing. The metal in the strap is a little mirror and I think you can carry a Combe or folding brush in the strap if you want to.
Looks wonderful now Steve! One could use that zippered area on the strap to stash cash! It's a beautiful bag! I like Tom Ford's products very much! I wear his fragrance called Tobacco Vanille. Love it!
That looks beautiful. My father is a sideline would do upholstery for vintage cars which included headliners. They were so beautiful he taught my brother and I would sit in and watch some of it. My mother was a beautiful seamstress used to make all of his slacks and his shirts and all of our clothes. I appreciate Minecraft and I can see that that's what you offer thanks for filming this.
Sorry Steve, as much as I enjoy the work you do, I am NOT motivated to now carry a purse. LOL A fine job bringing that one back to life. I'm sure the owner will be grinning from ear to ear.
How the heck do you take that thing apart and know exactly how to put it back together... I would be staring at that thing for hours trying to figure out how to get it back
You are VERY Awesome!! I only needed to see one video of yours and subscribed right away! Now I'm gonna binge on your videos and I'm sorry but it's all your fault! 😭😂❤️💜☺️ Amazing work !!✨❤️🏆
WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
Love your channel Steve. Been watching you for years. Should you read this...I have just one question. Are you a Washington Nationals fan...or a Baltimore Orioles fan? I just gotta know...👍😎👍
Hey Steve great job as usual, I got a question, I have a TF backpack with that same zipper but the gold color is starting to fade, it's there a way to "paint it" or restore it without changing the zipper
