Love them both but I find Carved Oud to be more creamy whereas Oud Wood stays dry throughout and faithful to the dry wood scent. I’d give the nod to Oud Wood but both are gems. Thanks for the great content, Monika!
I've used up four bottles of Oud Wood since 2016. I actually traded the last one because I'm fed up with all the reformulations it's gone through over time. It has completely lost that magical dry rosewood and eventually ended up smelling like a detergent. After two bottles of Carved Oud, I can safely say I prefer it over Oud Wood. It has no rosewood but the creamy sandalwood and the amped up patchouli does it for me. Lasts as long as Oud Wood on my skin (5-6 hours tops) but projects better. That's okay. It's not a beast-mode DNA. They are both to be worn indoors. Oud Noir Intense is more oudy and classy. It has the typical FdB oud coupled with saffron, which I never liked too much but here it works. So, skip Oud Wood. It just isn't what it used to be. I use Carved Oud during the day (mostly office) and Oud Noir Intense in nights out.
Oud Wood 🪵 isn’t nearly as good as Carved Oud. I have both. OW was purchased first, since buying Carved Oud I haven’t reached for Oud Wood. Not sure what you are talking about in terms of performance and projection, Carved Oud is far better in both categories.
I love Oud Wood but let’s face it, Estée Lauder is robbing us blind. The price keeps going up while the performance is going down. I’ll be looking into Thameen pretty soon
I feel like many are saying that TF oud wood projects better than Carved oud because of the TF label house, not because the real performance of the perfume. In my experience, TF oud wood projects max 3 hours. It’s so weak!
A lot reviews say Carved Oud is stronger, projects better, and smells better than Oud Wood, BUT from testing it on my skin, shirt, and test strips several times, women loved Oud Wood while Carved Oud was just a nice smelling scent. Oud Wood does last longer and projects a bit more on clothes and test strips over carved oud. Carved Oud, scent-wise, can get stinky on the skin during a slightly hot and humid day with a bit of sweat which is very disappointing.
I’ve never tried Thameen but TF Oud Wood is the 💣! I’ve gotten stopped by random women and men complimenting me on it. For all you saying it lacks performance, you may be suffering from olfactory fatigue.
thameen carved oud is exceptionally smooth, and refined. I have Tom ford oud wood and thameen carved oud is more rounded and smoother. I think it smells of better quality. Don’t get me wrong I love Tom ford oud wood, but thameen carved oud is perfection. Just my opinion.
@MonikaColognes My 100ML of Carved oud doesnt have the Raised "Thameen Fragrance" yours does on the bottom, after a little research I haven't seen others with it as well. For example ashe's Extra gents scents account has a 100ml and shows the bottom. Are you sure yours is Legit? I bought mine from Beverly hills perfumery so I'm pretty sure its legit. Might explain your performance issues.

RU-vidrs alway say some obvious bad performers ,perform good 😅 TF Oud wood is one of the most beautiful fragrances ,on the other hand it is well known as one of the worst performers out there (last few batches)..
Would you please do a comparison of Arabian Oud Resala and Atyabalmarshoud Marshoud 1? I just got their samples and during the dry down they smell identical to me. Id like to hear your thoughts.
I have all 3 (Carved Oud, Oud Wood & Kredo) and Kredo is definitely beautiful, but it isnt as close to Oud Wood as Carved Oud is (which itself isnt exactly a carbon copy of Oud Wood) imo
Carved Oud is overall the best one, for one reason alone. Performance. Oud Wood has been Reformulated to death and on top of that, is much higher Priced then Carved Oud. Whatever Oud Wood once was, it just isn't the sane anymore.
The Carved Oud its ver very beautifull and more natural smelling,,,,the problem its dosent project and dosent have the WOW effect!!!! The Oud Wood is still the Big Dog,,,,,No perfume inspired by Oud Wood has managed to dethrone it!!!
You said Oud Wood has better performances? MUCH better?! 😂 Come on Monika, it's really opposite. Carved Oud KILLS Oud Wood with performances, lasts way longer and projection is insane.

I really wanted to like TF Oud Wood but it smells like toilet cleaner to me. Maybe if the vanilla/tonka bean/sweetness was turned up more are it overall was more projecting. I do not wish to try Carved Oud. I don’t think I like Oud. But I like your channel, Monika!
Respectfully disagree.. I consider Oud wood in my top 5 of over 60+ frags.. have had more than 5 women indicate they Very much enjoy it.. To each their own though.. The great thing about frags is that everyone is different :D Cheers mate

@@jsam7455 yeah TF OW blows carved out of the water hands down. I live in a humid warm climate, so anything cloying will have people disgusted by you and making fun of you,
