Tom Green has been everywhere, from this vid in 1992, Radio show 1994, Tom Green show 1994-2003, hosting David Letterman show for a night 2004(?), being an "inspiration" for Joe Rogan starting his podcast (webovison) , movie star for a few years, successful stand up comedian, now travelling America in a van making cool videos.
That’s a great line, because first you laugh at how wonderfully ridiculous it is, then you remember that geese give birth to goslings, not chicks, and it rises to a whole other level of wonderfully ridiculous.
Organized Rhyme was a hip hop group based in Ottawa, Ontario, known primarily for the fame later achieved by one of its members, comedian Tom Green. Organized Rhyme's musical formula focused on three principal facets: catchy beats, simplistic choruses, and clever rhymes. The formula proved itself to be profitable: the group's first single, "Check the O.R.," won the MuchVibe Best Rap Video (MMVA Award) in 1992 and was nominated for a Juno Award in 1993.
Haha! I saw them live in Ottawa back in the day. They put clothes baskets on their heads and spun around. Green (I had no idea it was Tom Green until now!) took one of the security guys' radios and left the stage. He took a seat in the audience and started talking to people on the radio. His partner had to end the set by himself. A good time had by all.
Was living in Jane and Finch at the time , only found out about the video later on. What a great time capsule of the area in the early 90's and all the places we frequented regularly. I could very easily be in the background of one of the shots, lol. Was a whole different world in those days
@@motorcitymthrfkr Same...I moved out of there 2000. Funstation is gone. They're widening the roads/doing some construction since I passed by there 2023. Drug dealers still there.
@@mcray0309 I lived in Cali for a year in the 90s One small city there racked up more murders than Canada's largest. I remember coming back to Canada and thinking how full of shit the people talking about bad neighbourhoods in Canada seemed. Wanna find a rough part of Canada? Go to a reserve. That shit is serious. Nevertheless, Mogadishu makes both countries seem like sitcom suburbs.
Green was doing a radio show in Ottawa on St, Patty's and I, given the opportunity with the mic, swore on air and was quickly ushered out of the studio. I then promptly threw up in their bathroom. Sorry :(
I cant tell you why, but that King Lou line 'wait til its time to get out' hits so cold. I've used it in the appropriate way, whenever someone said 'we had a hard time finding getting here'
I've known about Tom Green since the late 90s and I had no idea he was in a rap group or could even rap. I'm first finding out about this 22+ years later...??!!! WTF m a n d e l a e f f e c t
WHy is everyone commenting on the video now? I never forgot it, my best friend used to love this album back in the day, lol. We were like 10 though, haha.
such a near impossible tape to find now, been a fan of Tom's comedy and music since well 1993, when i saw him on channel 10 local access tv in Cobourg , they aired his ottawa stuff ah good times!
