EVERYBODY loved Jimmy Stewart❤️. I have seen most of his films, and was lucky enough to see him in the stage play Harvey when he brought it to London in the 1970s🐇.
Then you will love my new group page. It is It's A Wonderful Life ~ The Karolyn Zuzu Grimes Fan Group. Yep, that Zuzu. She was 6 in 1946 in the film. She's 80 now and a real doll. She's a member on the page too. That is my angel's wings for creating that page for her. Ding ! Ding ! Ding ! Ding! Come join her and us there.
Jimmy Stewart will never be forgotten because It's A Wonderful Life will never be forgotten. Since this has more attention. Other great Jimmy Stewart movies: Rear Window, Vertigo, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, Anatomy of a Murder, Rope, The Shop Around the Corner, and The Philadelphia Story.
And because Mr Smith Goes to Washington will never be forgotten. And Philadelphia Story. And Vertigo. And Rear Window. And Anatomy of a Murder... The list could go on and on and on
I wrap christmas pressies while I watch “Its a wonderful life” every single year, and cry at the end of the movie every single year. Its not Christmas until i hear the words “merry christmas you old savings and loan!”. Jimmy Stewart is and will always be a legend.
I fell in love with a man born 60 years before me Jimmy Stewart. In another life I hope to love him. The greatest person inside and out is Jimmy Stewart. Thx Tom Hanks- big fan of yours!
Tom does a pretty good impression of an elderly Jimmy Stewart reminiscing about dear friends. He loved that horse, Pie, and had tremendous respect for him as a performer.
When you find out your favorite actor is a pedo Sarah Ruth Ashcraft has photos Fucking matrix Sorry Love sent 🌼 🌼 🌼 I got the defenders flowers im so sorry for your loss lol.
Tom Hanks recalling the time he met Jimmy Stewart is exactly what we needed in 2020, two of Hollywood's most talented humble great storytellers together in one room 💛 💛
I grew up on Tom Hanks, I love his films. He’s proved time and time again that he’s among the greats. With that said, I wanna see him in more comedic films. Remember he did “The Burbs, Volunteers, Money Pit, Bachelor Party, Turner and Hooch,....the list goes on.....
@Charlotte Balfour we can’t. He killed himself. So now I guess you believe Mr Hanks is going to eat some babies after this interview right. Ha! You “people” make me giggle a little
OMG he is fantastic even in an impromptu interview! What kind of magic does this man have?. Kudos to Stephen Colbert for letting him run with his stories.
He is the best. You have to look at his early movies in the eighties and see how they ooze with charm and panache. If you compare Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt or Tim Roth, all the movies are brooding and full of angst. Splash, Big, Bachelor Party, the Burbs and Dragnet. I've never seen the Burbs but I know it must be an oozer. He makes watching a movie without superpowers truly transcendant. He is greater than the others. This is why he leaves you with such an impression.
@Penultimate H You do not know what "loan shark" means clueless. Here is the Republicon version of the film, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e7FTJfscA0Y.html
Jimmy Stewart is one of the greatest movie stars of all time, not only of "It's a Wonderful Life". However, it is fitting that such movie was mentioned because the interview was made in December.
what an amazing story teller, starting to get why hes so loved as an actor, very cool...even got a glimpse of forest Gump, just brilliant. Bring back the westerns!
May you please help me enter my dreams of being an actor. ... hi i am 32 years old would to be an actor in the hollywood industry Unfortunately, this is not a place for the poor I'm from Irak
He shouldn't feel that way. For the past 30 years I've been expecting celebrity stories from him when he's on TV. I think as a star, that's part of your job to tell great stories about other stars, especially about the greats, like Jimmy Stewart. He's really just a witness to history for us.
Tom Hanks is so interesting, he's a person I would love to go out to dinner with! He's extremely intelligent and funny. Thank you Mr. Hanks for the movies you've given us!
Tom Hanks has the same hairline I had when I was 20. I love it Tom Hanks! Rock it! Shave your head with confidence and REMEMBER. There's no crying in baseball!!!
Ha! That makes total sense Tom Hanks met Jimmy Stewart. He was so promoted as the next Jimmy Stewart, the everyday common man, back in the day. That's like if ever Clooney met Cary Grant.
Wow. I'm getting old... seeing that people now think they have to explain who Jimmy Stewart was... 😁 (it's like reading "Tom Hanks, star of Forrest Gump")
Pie was the all time best movie horse. He understood when the cameras rolled he had to look his best, and he always posed with and for Jimmy. Jimmy did a movie called The Far Country. In it, there is a dramatic night scene where a riderless Pie was to walk straight to the camera with the little jingling bell on his saddle horn. Getting any horse to do this might take a month week of takes. They budgeted for 2 weeks for this. Ok, it's time. Jimmy stands by Pie's left shoulder, and explained the shot to him. Pie looks the whole situation over. I think Mann was the director, and he announced "Take One." Jimmy swats Pie's rear, and that horse walked straight to the camera. He only needed that one take. "Well, if he had a couple of lines, Pie might have needed two takes!"
I have long considered Tom Hanks the Jimmy Stewart of my generation--both great, versatile actors, equally adept at comedy or drama. But what both bring to their craft is an incurably decent humanity.
Funny, that was the very reason Tom was there to be photographed with Steward. Life magazines was making a series of portraits pairing old and new Hollywood greats that shared common on-screen personas. Both played likable regulars guys.
Tom Hanks "Name Dropping" Jimmy Stewart and "Buzzing Out" About getting aPhoto with him !!!🤩🤭😎 A Legend Super-Stared🤩💜 by a Legendary Actor JIMMY STEWART !!!!!!!!!!!...
Helena Zengel is AWESOME. I saw her in System Crasher on Netflix. She blew my mind. So cool she's now in News of the World with Tom Hanks, can't wait to see it.
CBS! How hard is it to either upload the clips in the correct order or better yet, to number them like so: 1/3 - 2/3 - 3/3 I hate the lottery of figuring out where the interview starts...
I always start with the longest and then next longest and so on. Works for the most part excluding quarantinewhile which comes after the monologue before the interviews. Edit: I wrote this and then watched the next longest video and found out this was the second interview of three so I was immediately wrong. Lol
Love,,,love,,,love Your "Super Star" Story of the "Special Fate" meeting of You and Jimmy Stewart 🤩🤪😍 and his Screen Horse "Pie" !!!!😘,,,i Got it 👍Woooowwwwwww!!!!!,,,Shout Out From New Zealand 🇳🇿 2021,,april 5th,,7:25pm,,Monday,, Easter 🐣😀,,,,,Otara,,,Auckland,,,Tom Hanks.........
LOL, there are a few interview dynamics that a live interview simply can't capture, and Hanks has managed to find several of them in this Zoom interview. Good times!
You can tell Tom Hanks is a real actor. Even when he’s chatting through the computer he’s so aware of the camera. Look how he keeps approaching the camera, it has a real effect on his dialogue. Nice Tom!
Hank Fonda paintings were as refined as Andrew Wyeth's masterworks...multi talented. You can see his painting of Pie & others on the documentary Fonda On Fonda on youtube...
I heard jimmy stewart read a poem he’d written about Pie on the Johnny Carson show. It was really heartfelt. . I think he was the last of the real (and decidedly few) gentlemen of Hollywood.
