Lord have Mercy!!! This man could bring a weeping woman to her knees. What power, passion and charisma he has, he is the total package. There will never be anyone like Tom Jones. Love him
Tom possessess the type of voice which is very rare. His voice is natural yet not normal. Think about that... Not many people possess this kind of voice. Opera singers do but they must study for years on end in order to able to project their voices in this way. But the downside to it all is that Opera singers can't sing commercial music but Tom Jones can. Amazing!
No words just goosebumps.... tremendous talent... probably one of his best live performances ever. So powerfull an with so much feeling... and that last high note...my god!!! Best singer of our time period!!!
Этот альбом с потрясающими хитами, голос потрясающий, любовь и еще раз любовь звучит с такой нежностью и восторгом, слушаешь и хочется слушать бесеонечно. Просто классный и фантастичный певец с большой буквы. Брависимо!!!
Tom has a whole discography full of incredible, A-list vocal performances but this one ranks among his very best, his voice is just so powerful and effortless here
As a man from Georgia that loves Otis, got to say I know why Otis was a little miffed. a White guy from Wales damn near out blacked him. LOL It' s all good You both did alright.
I remember watching Tom Jones when I was a young girl.I thought sex was kissing not much more than that ,but even then I thought wow I want to kiss him when I grow up! I love his voice and this song is one of my all time favorites. To be honest I think back then I planned on marrying him!LOL!
Please give me a source where he said that? This is from Elvisblog site: In August 1974, Elvis gave a big introduction to Tom Jones, who was catching one of his shows: Theres somebody in the audience Id like you meet. To me hes my favorite singer. Hes one of the greatest performers Ive ever seen, and the greatest voice, Tom Jones. There he is. Hes too much. He also asked: "Tom how the hell you hold those big notes" There is lot quotes about tom by elvis.
@starr522 Yeah...my folks thought he was Black and from the South for a long time.Funny thing though it never stopped my Grams and Mama from listening to him. Dude can wail man!
@@paulportanova7349 I have since I was 11 yrs old! Got busy with life and has rediscovered HIM and hearing most of these renditions for the first time! He is absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD, an exciting phenomenon!!!
There was a reason Frank Sinatra said Tom was "The Voice." He stated Tom was one of the best, if not the best singers of the era. He also warned Tom that singing 365 nights a year in the Vegas heat and dryness would destroy his voice in time!!! Just listen to that last note he hits.... Unparalleled!!!!!!
One of the greatest white soul singers, i remember articles from Big Jim Sullivan and Johnny Spence full orchestra backed him, and they never had problems, cos TJ aka "The Voice" voice was so powerful... Not a big surprise that elvis tought he is the greatest vocalist..
do you maybe have a recording of him singing with these hands on this is tom jones show. it was on youtube but they took it down i want to hear that again !
I PROMISE TO MY SELF THE .IF GOD BLESSED ME. I GONNA PLAYED HIS ALL SONG'S. EVERY DAYS OF THE TIME. THANKS .D....J... EMMMANUEL. THANKS .Mr.Tom. Jones. thanks
Another example of exceptional singing ability....sadly TJ will be remembered mostly for "panties" being thrown on stage at him. He has tremendous range and power...who the heck sings like this today? (not even TJ himself!)
Disagree... He recorded 61 one hour tv specials of This Is...Tom Jones and with performances like this, it'll ensure he's remembered for the voice he had AND the panti throwing and for millenium and looong after he's gone...
Well maybe did, but i dont think Elvis meant it like he said about TJ, cos Sir Tom Jones who is known as "The Voice" and Elvis, both these could sing any type of music, gospel, rocknroll, blues etc.. Roy wasn't so versatile. And remember greatest singer can sing all kind of music imho. And the admiration of TJ and Elvis isnt just a words... Actually Tom Jones influenced Elvis, so did Elvis to Tom, this is well known thing among Elvis&Tom fans.
Terrific. To be honest to me TJ was completely off the radar, saw him as a somewhat silly 1960s and 70s crooner, with a later hit when he did Prince's 'Kiss'. Got drunk in a karaoke bar 2 weeks ago and decided to belt out 'she's a lady' much to the hilarity of the company-it was brutal but fun, sorry Tom- I was with. I thought I'ld check TJ out on here so I could improve on my last attempt. I had no idea he was this good. The only voice in my eyes, or ears, that is as good or better is Sinatra.
