You can't go wrong with picking ETFs, especially for newbies. majority tracks the S&P 500 ETFs returns about 15.7% yearly on average, imagine when it’s well managed. It's a no-brainer to go with paying ETFs.

Luv the ETFs. I own both SCHD and DGRO. SCHD is one of my cores in the managed portfolio. I also own VPU (utilities ETF), AMD tech stocks, but I also own an individual utility company like DUK.

I held CRWD from $112 and sold at $334. I should have kept 1/3 but sold all the shares I had, so mentally, it is hard to pay such higher price now. That being said, the stock will probably keep flying higher and should be in everyone's portfolio

Problem is the data isn't apples to apples. Tesla data is for FSD primarily on highways and comparing to human drivers everywhere. Well most accidents occur in cities/town and not on highways, so there ya go.

Small caps (IWM) have dramatically underperformed the S&P 500 since about 2018. The trend will reverse someday, but right now, I see no sign of that reversal occurring. Short-term tradable reversals may happen, but if your investment horizon is 5-7 years, it doesn't make sense to me.

Agreed, but he's right about the rubber band effect once even the first cut is imminent. Additional cuts would keep it going thru next investment cycle as PEs are way less than tecod S&P NSDQ right now. The catch up trade will deliver the 20%+ gains already had in the large caps

Capital gain for longer duration treasuries mean the Fed is lowering interest rates. If that is the scenario then stock will do much better than longer duration bonds. I have cash in short term T Bills but will put more money into stocks when interest rates drop.

Consider this: Boring company in Las Vegas has underground tunnels, are these “public roads” or private? Do same/“normal”moving vehicle laws apply there? I’m guessing Tesla will have fsd “robotaxis” there soon and earliest. The proof of concept will be made and safety shown, then regulators can ok fsd and “robotaxis” for public streets, roads and highways.

My issue with small caps is even if small caps have good fundamentals with big potential with rate cuts, most bigger institutions won't invest in it if their internal policies won't allow it.

Two of Woods' funds, ARKQ and ARKK, have>10% holdings in Tesla and are either flat or losing money. She wants you to think Tesla is the only autonomous driving company in the world. GM's Cruise (despite its recent setback), Google's Waymo, Volvo, Audi, and possibly BMW are going to be very strong competitors in autonomous driving over the next two to three years. And that doesn't even include China, which has at least 19 companies developing fully autonomous vehicles.
