TOMS STORY: Tom MacDonald is 100% independent! He’s had major record labels after him daily for at least 6 years and he turns them ALL down! After you listen to a few of his songs, especially the music industry and sad rappers, you’ll understand why. He writes all of his songs, makes his beats, and his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller shoots and edits all of his videos! That’s why dear rappers is so simplistic because they were just starting out really. He dabbled in bands and had managers in the past, but that’s why he struggled so much and that’s why he wasn’t as successful as he should’ve been until he wrote dear rappers. That’s after he had cut everybody out and started doing things his way on his time with no middleman! He spent about nine months battling crippling depression. He contemplated suicide several nights and he was a severe alcoholic! After what seemed to be an eternity, he spiritually came out of that depression and quit everything cold turkey, not only alcohol but also marijuana and certain anxiety medication. Him and Nova could barely pay rent to keep a home after that but he stayed strong and ultimately wrote Dear Rappers which was his very first video to go viral, and the rest is history! He shoots his videos wherever is convenient whether it’s in his own home, in his backyard, or in an alley! He will even go in grocery stores and randomly shoot a scene for a video lol. He personally signs albums ordered by his fans (for a short time with each new drop) and he also packages and ships the albums and all merchandise with close family and friends assistance hangovergang.com. He builds the sets for all of his videos! Also, he used to be a carpenter as well as a professional wrestler in Canada, he’s from Mission British Columbia. He spent some time in college but that just wasn’t where his life was going. He had some experiences with the illuminati, not sure for how long or what exactly the nature of that was, but I know that he left to follow Christianity! The set for clown world was in his backyard l! He took number one on iTunes with “best rapper ever” beating Eminem’s entire last new album!! Recently he took number one from Cardi B on iTunes with clown world! He’s taken the spot from her to number one multiple times! He’s also taken number one on billboards top emerging new artist! He made number one recently on hip-hop Billboard charts and number two in all genres! He also charted on seven billboards with Nova Rockafeller and Brandon Hart which included 2 number ones with “No Good Bastard’s” and made it on 7 MORE billboards with “Church”! He also just got three number ones and several other charts on billboards with “snowflakes“, and 10 spots on billboards including 2 number ones with “Brainwashed“!! He also got 2 more number ones on billboards with Adam Calhoun “New World Order”! He dropped something very different in his colab album “As Far as the Stars” with Nova and Brandon Hart! Hang Over Gang in the house! This old vet is happy to see you go down the Tom Rabbit Hole! You honestly haven't heard anything yet. I won't even give you the list of songs, because I know my HOG family is already been doing that. He has so many great songs. He discussed a whole lot more than just the political or the racial issues that continue to sadly get pulled into the future. He talks on things that has helped many of his HOG family followers. As for me, being a fourth generation disabled vet with TBI and PTSD, living under a VA program for homeless vets. I found Tom about 5 years ago and I'm not sure if I would be here now if I didn't. He has also given over a quarter million dollars to help homeless vets. I love all his music, but Fighter, Sober, Withdrawals and castles hold a special place. Oh he also made a remix of Eminem's The way I am about 5 years ago. He did amazing on it in my opinion. I will be HOG till my last breath!

What wasn't said is they dropped a power cord from the neighbor to shoot this with a red lamp. They were living in the hood. Had to borrow money from 3 to 4 people to release it. Royalties from this video moved them out of the hood.

I noticed in facts they did use some green screen but the went back to their roots for the majority of the video. You will see that between this video and I want to say Balloons, they built all there own sets. In Ballons they used black screens for some cliff production with drones. But Riot was their first big jump into vfx production and Sheeple will not disappoint.

The song that blew Tom up. Tom fell in love with Rap when he picked up a 2pac double cd album. Tom has nothing but respect for Em. Check out Tom’s “Dear Slim”. The simple photography of this comes from the fact they had no power (couldn’t pay the power bill) and they ran an extension cord from the neighbor’s garage just to keep the fridge running. Tom is not really political as he is a social commentator. His songs address what strikes him most, personally or in society, at the time he writes it. I could sit here for an hour listing off ones that are worth a watch but top 5 I think are Riot Sheeple Best Rapper Ever End Of The World (ft. John Rich) I Wish This particular video was shot extremely low budget compared to his other ones, at this time he and Nova were beyond broke, living in the hood with absolutely nothing. He was down to his last half cigarette and had the idea for this video they shot it and he borrowed some money off family and friends for some advertising and put it out into the world and the rest is as they say history. Loved your reaction and can’t wait to see more!!

This song broke him out. The power was out in his place because he couldn’t pay the bill. He went outside to smoke a cigarette, and wrote this. He came back inside, told Nova to grab the camera, and that was it.

If you are a lyricist fan and a cinematic fan. Helluvit. Don’t look down. No response. First two are both bars and cinematic. The last is simpler with the visuals but one of his most impressive musically.

Long comment alert, but here's facts about Tom that I've gotten from seeing interviews of his etc.... So Tom is from Alberta Canada. His father and mother were hard workers, father a fisherman (I believe I remember that correctly) and mom worked many jobs like bank teller ect. He has a sister that almost died when they were young after contracting chicken pox. She was working as a nurse in Canada and when the big C happened he told her to quit and come work with him, so now she's an intricate part of HOG (hang over gang). He was a pro wrestler his teenage years in Canada until he got many injuries, he fell into addiction and he hated the politics of it all. He said also, before I forget, that when he was younger his dad, him, and his grandfather watched politics on the tv especially in America and would sit around talking about for hours. Anyway ok flashback too, when he was younger his dad would listen to a lot of rock music and one day they went to a second hand store and his dad gave him 5 bucks and told him to buy whatever he wanted. That's when he found 2Pac and fell in love with rap. It was in school where he was also introduced to Em. Ok, flash forward back to after leaving wrestling. He moved to LA and tried following his passion for rapping. That's when\where he met his now girlfriend Nova Rockafeller (stage last name, not real) she's also an amazing artist. She gave him his first shot at rapping. They remained friends but went their separate ways. She got signed to def jam and he fell further into addiction. He said rapping about what everyone does now days, drugs, sex etc caused his addiction to further ensue. He had a mental breakdown and moved back to Canada and for roughly 9months got clean and got his mind right. After that Set jam did nova dirty and left her basically homeless so she got herself dropped and she moved to south central Cali. She called Tom and asked him to move in with her. He did, and from there they started making music together and fell in love. Now she shoots, edits, and directs mostly all his videos. His sister and her husband works with Tom, he retired his parents, bought them houses, and cars, vacations, oh and paid for his sisters wedding \wedding dress as well. I probably missed something, but that's the gist of it! Anyway, awesome reaction and commentary! #HOG4Life

Tom is a truth seeker and shares that truth with us all. He isn’t afraid to stand his ground on what he believes and he makes no room for interpretation or what he means when he says stuff. From everything I can tell he’s been telling us who he is from the start and it’s rare to see someone be so real about shit. I’ve tried for years and got ignored or called a conspiracy theorist but with all this shit coming to light and how things have progressively gotten worse people who once told me I was full of shit have actually apologize to me and have started paying attention. He’s waking people up for the woke BS. he’s basically unplugging people from the matrix. And getting them to think for themselves. It’s why I like him.
