Really gets you don't it. In December I found my son on his lawn, he'd OD'd on fentanyl disguised as OXY. He ended up in the hospital with liver disease, lost half his pancreas, his kidneys failed, became a diabetic, and they told me the prognosis was grim. He's in Rehab now and doing better than he ever has. I have no answers, just HOPE...

you and many other have the issues tom has been through, i myself have had family and to many friends go through this. i have seen what drugs and alcohol do to people. i feel for those that struggle with it. As you watch more videos of toms you will see the other issues he has. Tom music touches many because many are going through or have gone through the same issues.

This song hit me hard too. I grew up raised by my grandparents b/c my mother was a drug addict/alcoholic. She left that life when I was 16 to raise my little brother (I was 15 when he was born), and every day she struggled. I lost her to COPD in '17, and at that time she'd been 20 years sober. But she moved halfway across the country to escape her past and build her new life. I watched her go thru the struggles. When I was a kid, she was in and out of rehab & halfway houses. The struggle never ends. Keep up the fight, and don't forget - you AREN'T alone.

I just found out about Tom 8 days ago. I was afraid to listen to this song cus some friends warned me it would hit the feels hard and bring up some things I tried to bury and forget in my own past. I think I picked the right place to hear it for the first time.

I watch reactors to get to know the people behind the reaction. The fake ones don't last long with me, no names. I can see the crater this song is leaving and want you to know you are not alone. There are a lot of us that are voiceless and still in or around the addiction orbit and outerspace is nice, but I can see the black hole I am swirling towards. Maybe this will serve as a friendly face in a sea of strangers, I'll send a shout out to the big man for you.

I was snorting heroin for a year, then was on meth for a year and a half, dabbled in several other drugs without addiction - coke, crack, pills, x. Now I'm just down with bud or hallucinogens. Been clean of the hard stuff since August '19, still occasionally have thoughts about wanting it but just push them to the side.
