FYI, he didn't actually say the N word. It wasn't edited out. It was never put in. He allowed your brain to fill it in for you. Hitting the rhyme, making his message and still staying true to the very line he was saying. "I'd still never say..."

We had slavery and segregation too. But the modern-day racial division is not very evident in our day to day in Canada. (At least in my experience growing up in Alberta. But I know there’s racists in all countries/cultures). If it wasn’t for US media/entertainment. I’m not sure I’d even be aware of it.

The thing about the line after "cop tryin to pull a trigger" is that he didn't bleep or censor it, because he never said it. How many rappers can finish a line without saying a word and still have the line rhyme? Tom does things with lyrics that no one else does or could do.

Tom is truly trying to bring people together. There is a 15 min video where Tom plays the song and answers questions. He said if anyone wanted to leave they would still get paid and he understood. Only one person left. Tom truly is a class act. I have watched many different reactors of all races and 9xs out of 10 they didn't find this offensive esp the African American reactors. Ironically, the hatred came from white reactors! Tom didn't deserve the terrible hatred he received! #hog4life

I went to highschool in Chicago. I graduated in 2002 age not need lmao. But I experienced so much racism against me as being white there that it was sad. My sister got attacked walking by a group of black people and spit on and just horible walking with her boyfriend to go to a Dave mathews band concert. 😔 I was always the only white kid in class. I was never and will never be racist nomatter what I went through, 💯 because there is just bad apples can't label everyone because some bad ones. 🙏

I'll go with This house, but I'll let you know. Tom had made 'Dear Rappers' and 'Helluvit' which made another rapper think Tom was a racist. That tweet started off 'This Whiteboy here ...' Tom felt he had to respond. Tom never experienced racism in Canada, it was a culture shock to him here in the U.S. Unlike Nova, though she is Canadian also, she experienced racism from the other end, growing up in Jamaica.

Segregation in the US yes was recent in Canada and the uk I believe it ended when slavery was abolished in the british empire so in that respect Tom was right
