My best friend Robert was a huge T Waits fan and introduced me to his work...even bigger than me. He committed suicide a few years ago, but a thanks from me to TW (and KB) for giving us something to talk about endlessly over coffees every other week after work.. He would have loved these vids.

it almost seems to mee that it happend lightyears before I became old. fell in love with my english teacher, but Tom was her first love. I had no longterm chance, 'cause, you know, he's a heartbreak-guy. later, studying architecture, my professor asked me, why i give my strange conceptual drafts titles like "Frank's Swordfishtrombone". I infected the whole semester with Tom's music. this was long before the googleage.
