Loving these Tom Waits reactions. Check out some of his earlier songs (Pancho's Lament, Ice Cream Man). You'll be shocked at how much his voice has changed over the decades.

The Rain Dogs album is a bizarre masterpiece.

It’s a beautiful version of the song. Kinky Friedman wrote it, you can find the original version on his album “The Loneliest Man on Earth”; it’s worth a listen, too.

What an artist - and not just a singer/songwriter - the portrait he painted in this story he told was a masterpiece as only Tom could create. Love this one. On The Nickel is another that has a similar storytelling feel and I believe he performed it in this set. Pure genius.

The irony of Silent Night - the idealism of virgin and child and the reality of a prostitute with child. If you've had someone with an addiction problem - sadly, this is the way she would like her life to be but she's in trouble again and needs bailing out. I love Tom Waits SO MUCH. I first found his music when I was 15 right smack in the middle of the 80s. A most unlikely time and age to come across an artist like this. ;) Great reaction as always!

Another song of his I just know you and anyone would and does love is Heartattack and Vine. Studio version is best even tho he’s got some good live ones.
