I believe that's around the time Smallvile brought in Margot Kidder. I met her a few months before she passed, she had nothing but good things to say about her time on Smallville.
A beautiful, great and iconic scene, it's one of my favorites. Great acting by Tom and great shot. Thank you Tom for the great insight, I love you so much. ❤❤❤
I still own this show on DVD. Being a huge Superman fan, this show was awesome. I couldn't wait to get home and see the new episode for the week. The cast was great as well. Great actors. This show was the best. I think it's time to dust off the dvd player and start watching again.
Me and my family watched this show religiously when it aired and I remember this scene giving me chills. I introduced it to my bf a few years ago and this scene still gives me chills, such an underrated show ❤❤
You all played your parts so well that nothing and no one can replace. Tom made Smallville the success it was, as did the whole cast. Everyone made Smallville great and memorable ❤
Tom did great in this scene, and also with Annette as martha dismayed upset Screams want her son back, and Kal-el utters at ‘Clark Kent is dead! throws Martha ground and then jumps up and away in lift off!🦸🏻♂️🚀 best moment scene👍
I really miss the parallel story to Clark Kent growing up and becoming Superman. One of the best shows , till this day I have watched all 10 seasons, every episode back to back 11-13 times if not more. So well done and special effects were and still pretty great. I would love to see a new series, After Smallville, Superman. ❤
season 4 episode 1 was a really dope moment, as in that time i had 14 yeards old no smartphones no internet pages to get you spoiled ot the episode. so when i watched the episode, first moment was lois lane first appearence, i screamed like a kid, no way, before she said im lois, lois lane. i was like , omg she is gonna say it , isnt it. and boom , im like lets gooo babyy, and this moment epic as hell, after he said im kalel of krypton, and goes flying. im like holy shit. he flies now too. a lot of epic moments smallville gave us.
wow! i actually noticed that Tom didn't blink when flying, and i figured it was because he was superman and that his eyes don't hurt at all from the wind. smart detail in the moment by Tom
I think the special effects on this show were really innovative. Seeing Kal-El come in behind the plane, along the side and and then just rip the door off, AMAZING! It was such a treat for fans.
“I am Kal-El. I have to fulfill my destiny.” Thats my favorite scene from Smallville season 4. Clark flying sent chills down my spine every moment. Moments like this makes I can fly in real life.👊🏾
Still remember my jaw on the floor when I realized he was about to take off. One of the best Oh- S moments of the series! Super Lana was cool and hot as well. Didn't like Martha being pushed down, but I know it was Dark Clark.
What impressed me the most about the filming of the scene was the camera shot which started above Clark, looking down, and then sank to ground level, looking up - a great visual showing a figurative midget becoming a giant. And I love the concentric rings of force roiling the air around his body as he begins to repel gravity.
One of my favorite moments of the season also this is one of my favorite moments but the other one is probably Clark actually fulfilling destiny as Superman in that Superman suit in season 10 finale after watching the finale yesterday made me emotionally crying but actually making feel like finally!!
One of the most well done flying scenes I've seen with seamless transitions, compared to even the movies where they would just cut to a different angle instead.
That seen was so cool. I wonder if he was laying on this stomach on green screen or something like the behind the scenes footage of Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe as Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter playing quidditch on their broomstick. BTS video are so cool
Wife and I are re-watching all the season again now we are older. Things we have taken away. Music was better back than. Clarks life would be better if he was honest with the people he cared for. Martha is a great mother, and Johnathan is a bad father.
What’s funny is I’m not interested in Smallville (no offense I’m not a teen anymore!) but I’m very interested in the behind the scenes of cw (and the likes) drama productions.
Look all this is fantastic now all we need is a show called metropolis for crying out loud. Let's make it happen now, there is no better time than the now. Please don't make us wait any longer.Theyll do the show especially if Mr Rosenbaum ask for it!
Smallville was da 💩! I don't give a damn what nobody says! I did a poll or something that ended up saying Supernatural was number 1. My wife watched that. I watched Smallville and Vampire Diaries but Smallville is number one to me. Easily! And my favorite scene of the whole series is when Clark walked in the house after he died and Jor'Lionel brought him back. When Lana came to the door and Clark rounded the corner and she ran to him and he held her like 3 feet off of the ground. I watched that many many many times! I have several favorites. When Chloe took Kara to the fortress to get powered up! Chloe saying she loved his son and he needed help. LOVED THIS SHOW! Especially through this story it always pissed me off that Lex was so offended that he didn't know Clark's secret. Hell it's a secret! I'll write a book. I'm sorry. I'm bout to look up clips. Haven't seen some of this in a while. Opened something recently now I'm getting a lot. I need this. Television sucks now! Thanks for the content and the fantastic show!
I always appreciate it, that they waited on the flying. But at the 10 year mark, at that point, Superman should’ve been married with three kids and on his second marriage.
One of the most disappointing things from the show was having to wait till the final few minutes of the final episode of the last season for Clark to fully awaken his powers
Yeah he should’ve listened to his AI Biological father and fully focused on his destiny throughout the whole seasons and things would’ve been a whole lot different with the show
how are the effects in Smallville still holding so well and are much better than the other DC shows that are more recent? the flash, green arrow etc effects’ look like absolute garbage
