in my country we call tomato exactly the same as hakos called it. but for some reason we call potato as "kentang". and whats funny is, we used "kentang" as a definition for a device that have low spec and cant run any games with medium graphic settings. for example like " kenapa guna low graphic? kau pakai phone kentang ke? " . so if we translate it in english, it will sounds like " why are you using a low graphic setting? are you using a potato phone? " its weird but everyone found it as a better way to say that you have a bad phone than saying " what a noob broken phone you have ".
Generally speaking, borrowed English just depends on where it was borrowed from. So if you say it the same as she does, its most likely the influence of British English, as Bae is Australian.
I'm bery much in Bae's camp on this one. Normal tomatoes are so-so, but cherry tomatoes are better than candy. Likewise, I also enjoyed biting them slightly, slurping out the juices inside, then sticking my tongue through the split in the skin and scooping out the insides with my tongue. It just had a really good mouth-feel to it.
I love this, I am so glad I found this! The animation and the expressions you gave them perfectly captures it, the artstyle is also really cute! And it feels like a slice of life anime, and it's absolutely adorabael XD! Definitely an insta sub that's for sure lol
Ahh, but you see… What is the most chaotic things a being of pure chaotic energy could do? That’s right: Act totally composed and leveled. True chaos is living in a state of complete balance and order.
This was just such a realistic conversation. Bae is the only high energy one of the five. Sana is chill. Kuronii is tired. Fauna is in slow motion. Mumei is constantly in the state where the batteries in the remote are going out but you keep taking them out and shaking them instead of replacing them.
@@z-v-x8324 Not in this one but in a way I was just explaining the holocounsel girls. Since there were 4 of them already I threw my opinion in of her as well.
it's not even just Aussie pronunciation, it's English too. 'Muricans be backing fun of English pronunciations like they're not the correct way. bruh, imagine butchering a language and then bullying others for not following suit. _b r u h._
@@RYNOCIRATOR_V5 Considering tomatoes were brought to Europe by the spanish and it was originally pronounced "to-ah -te". Plus, the Brits use "tom-ay-to" interchangeably with the other. It's a difference in dialect, not saying something "incorrectly". Plus, Kronii I'm pretty sure is Canadian, not American.
@@michaellawhun5941 bruh i'm gonna bruh you, here i go: *_b r u h_* *[edit]* (not once in my 26 years have i heard an English person say "tom-ay-to" as anything other than a joke)
@@RYNOCIRATOR_V5 ya know, I was expecting an intelligent reply about differences in dialect, but clearly my expectations were too high lol. Have a nice time bruh-ing me, and have a nice day or night.
Honestly there are hardly any Hololive animators that capture the energy that each and everyone in Hololive has and the dynamic that creates in interactions quite like you do. I see lots of success in this channel!
The way Kronii whispers "po-ta-toes" in Bae's ear kills me everytime. Good animation, really expressive Edit: Bae silently grabbing her ears after that also kills me
Sana wasn't there to save her, and none of them are actually old enough that whenever anyone argues about the pronunciation of tomato they instantly remember Sinatra
This genuinely feels like a part of an episode of lucky star or Yuru Yuri, etc. I can honestly could just listen to them talk about random stuff for hours. And having it animated makes it a lot more fun :D
Hello good sir, I kinda wanna make a meme out of the scene Kronii whispers to Bae's ears. So can you good sir upload the un-sub version of this scene please? Sr for my bad english, im not a native speak
My favorite part about this is how Kronii sounds like she's been edited in after the fact. I know she's there, but I swear her lines all sound like a text-to-voice robot here
“MOOMSUKE UNDERSTANDS CHERRY TOMATOES 🍅 YESSSS OH BLESS THIS HOLY DAY” - Hakos Baelz, 24 June 2024. we witnessing history! XD when i saw bae’s tweet i immediately remembered this cuute animation and their collab stream. 🥹 love your animations 9am!!
Because I'm Australian, it's really hard for me to tell when someone's Australian, because an Aussie accent is just something I hear all the time, I have to put a genuine effort in to tell if something's an Australian accent, so it didn't really click in my mind that she was pronouncing tomato 'weird' until it was pointed out
absolutely LOVE your animations. This whole scene evokes old-school gag anime. Something about how you set up the visual punch-line is magical. Bae and Kronii in particular both really shine in this softer moe style due to the contrast with their voices. I donno what to say, but you gotta keep it up. Your adaptation is top shelf.
It's pretty funny how it takes a few weeks from their debut, but when the nature of a Vtuber starts to come through they almost always seem to match their avatars theme more closely than one would imagine.
Everything in this clip is funny.😁 Starting from Bae's "I'm baaaaaaaack!" to Mumei's "I'm going to keep saying 'tomatoe' but I'm going to start saying 'poe-tah-toe'" just to mess with Bae. With Kronii whispering into Bae's cute rat ears and then Bae pulling them down. Awesome.
This is a really good description! The only thing I would add is that Bae's "tomato" is said that way because that is how Australians say it. But, the other girls say it the American way.
"The most part" being key here. We Americans made sure to infect them with some pronunciations of our own as well...lol. Its interesting to see at the very least.
This feels like it could be a scene out of Lucky Star In fact, most Vtuber conversations feel like they could be scenes out of Lucky Star But this does especially so, because you animated it, and the animation reminds me of Lucky Star Which is one of my favorite animes So basically I'm saying that this is absolutely perfect and I love it so much
