It's been a long wait since Nicobass claimed that the demo is coming . Build with UE4 Engine . So i made a Ultra graphic settings with gameplay . Hope you like it . And I appreciate that Nicobass can bring the TR2 memory back :D Thanks , Nicobass . Best Builder i've ever seen :D

OS : Windows 7 64bit or newer
CPU : At least i3-2100 or equivalent or better ( My speculation)
GPU : DX11 or DX12 support GPU (at least 2GB VRAM)
Ram : 4GB (highly recommend 8GB )
Capacity : 6GB for demo version

THIS is what Tomb Raider is all about. This is what the true hardcore fans of the original games want, not that 2013 remake that felt totally unconnected to the Tomb Raider world. I hope Sqaure Enix steer their upcoming Tomb Raider games in this direction and bring back this classic Lara.

Mate, I understand that you REALLY like the old Tomb Raider, but do you understand what the word reboot means? Of course 2013's TR was a different direction, and the majority of people loved it. It's meant to be different because it was a reboot of the series.

Lance Lionroar That's fair enough but in the reboot they completely changed the core of her original character from the strong quick witted heroine that we knew from the past games into a vulnerable, frightened and unskilled character in the reboot. It would have meant something to the long term fans of the originals if they in some way stayed true to the Lara that we knew. The reboot for me just doesn't feel like a Tomb Raider game, instead it feels disjointed in the entire series. The original games series has its fans and the reboots has it fans also so each to their own I guess.

one of the great things I love about this demo is how it isn't transparent in where you need to go and what way you need to take like with the recent ones. It feels like it did with the originals where if you couldn't figure out where to go you were kind of stuck there forever until you finally clicked on

I LOVE the idea of adding hidden diary pages to the game; it adds to the lore, mystery, and adventure in a subtle way. This looks absolutely incredible. If Crystal Dynamics isn't going to collaborate with this project to make a remake of TR2 someday, I hope they use this as their inspiration

This is incredible. Tomb Raider II was my first game back then when i was 7 years old. I love this. I love the detail, the little codex texts, everything. You can cleary tell a lot of work went into this.

Why do you pretend like your opinion is the only one ? You're obviously not a long-time fan of the franchise if you worship the last two games, so I'm not sure you can talk about what is a "good Tomb Raider". this game is definitely base on Classic TR games , so it's normal to have no maps HUD and some kind of vision to ID the object nearby . yep , it also support gamepad

Honestly, I can get on board with a weak Lara to start the reboot with some character building, but like u say there's no Lara/TR anywhere, I feel like they looked at it from a business perspective and made a more of a shooter game than a TR game, there's no TR left in them. But THIS which Nicobass has made, with uptodate graphics just shows how amazing the original games are. REALLY hope he could make TR 3, 4 and Chronicles too!!!

This is a nice mod and all, but to all the "true tomb raider fans" in the comments. This style of game is gone for a reason. Severely Declining Sales. This gameplay represents late 1990s / early 2k's video games like none other. Its Old Gen Mechanics with your love for it being rooted in nostalgia. The last Indiana Jones video game was scrapped inside LucasArts when the first trailer for Uncharted came out. Why? Because the LucasArts devs saw it and knew that it blew everything they were doing out of the water. Lara Croft's developers pressed forward though, and through Legend / Anniversary and Underworld they saw their sales plummit like Lara down a spike pit.... A Lack of Incoming Money made the franchise reboot to what you have now. Because GAMERS were rejecting this kind of game. I'm a true fan of all adventurer games and I accept the new Lara, I admire the old Lara. I enjoy Uncharted and I miss Indiana Jones games. But I also accept that this style of game is gone. Because nothing lasts forever.

You're not exactly wrong, by any means. But the old Lara is still a producdt of a bygone era that I strongly doubt will be back in at least our life times. Uncharted, is apparently finished too? I mean they'll probably do more, cause businesses don't just let go of money makers. BUT, even Uncharted will change into something else eventually. Uncharted / Tomb Raider 2013-2015's formula will shift over time too. Because nothing ever stays the same. I'll still support the Indiana Jones-style adventure games, in whatever form they're in. Cause that kind of stuff is just what I personally connect with the most. Whether its Lara, Nathan or... M-I-A Doctor Jones.

Imo. Games like sonic mania, divinity original sin, crash bandicoot n-sane triology and the ratchet and clank remake prove that old gameplay styles are still in demand. They just have to be executed the right way. I think once a franchise/style seems to go stale, it needs a break for the masses before being reintroduced again (in a modern coat). This way, there will grow a demand over time that is big enough to get a good amount of sales.

2013 was pretty good actually , better than 2015 Rise of Tomb Rider, the concept and the story were pretty great, but it makes you focus more on how to escape the island than searching for tombs, puzzles and secrets as the original series did.

In terms of graphics and interaction with the environment rise of tomb raider was better than 2013, as a story 2013 was better, you are traped on an island with your crew and you have to escape that asian godess, as a game 2015 is better of course, this is just my opinion and you don't have to be triggered because of it but rise of tr didn't impressed me as the older one did, is just that the story and environment attracts me on that game,

Cestarian Inhabitant the way she moves and maneuvers, climbs, and shoots is the same sound effects used in Anniversary.

It looks very beautiful, and kinda raw at the same time. It lacks some post-processing effects. Also, I played this and optimalization is a disaster. But I like it though! Really cool work!
