Welcome back, everybody! The 3rd collaboration with Keith is ready for you. Some of you might know that I am working with Giovanni Lucca on his TR3 HD remaster and that I have already remade lots of tracks - from the Main theme, She's cool, to Something spooky in that jungle, etc. So remaking one of those for this collaboration didn't make any sense to me. That's when Keith mentioned the "Geordie Bob" track. And wow, did it fit perfectly. Originally, mentioned track plays during the cutscene where Lara meets Bob. With its quite simple orchestration, it fits perfectly in that scene. However, I wanted to play with it much more. I was not restricted by the voice over's so I could go a bit crazier. I wanted Bob and his group The Damned to have sort of the main theme which is much more dramatic and sinister than the original and sets the mood for London levels in general. Also, their backstory is really messed up:
"Bob came to London looking for employment and discovered that Sophia Leigh's cosmetics company had job vacancies for lab assistants. The job wasn't the kind of lab assistant Bob had been expecting. During his 'employment', Bob and many others were used as lab rats for Sophia's experiments. They were locked in flotation tanks for days until they were released, their faces ruined and skin discolored. Considered failures, they were dumped into the waste disposal chute. Distressed by his own appearance, Bob tried to commit suicide but no amount of damage inflicted had any effect on him. Unintentionally, Sophia had given Bob and the others the power of immortality. Bob and the other experiments formed a gang which they named the Damned. Bob became the leader and they all dwelled near the abandoned Aldwych tube station.". Taken from tombraider.fan...
