How do you like the ETS ELH with Tomei? Is there any rumble left ? Going rotated and I got the ETS ELH with tomei. Won’t know how she sounds until Summer.
@@BoostedBrando I love it. I swapped from the ETS extreme to the Tomei. I like loud, but the ETS catback was wayyy too much and very raspy with the header. You'll love it with your rotated setup, I plan on going that route once I get bored with this blouch turbo lol.
@@D1rtyghetto.L5P good to hear there’s still some rumble haha. Wife loved the rumble but we gotta help keep this built block alive and healthy. I went from stock to FP blue at 430, but a failed rod bearing happened and I said fuck it. Built block with a rotated Garrett 30-660. Shooting for that 600 mark.
I love what you've done with the car, beautiful. I can't wait for the day I finally own one, I gotta have the Lapis Blue Pearl. Hope everyone's day goes/went well.
I own the Remark R1 titanium single exit to the passenger side and seems to sound very close to the tomei if not the same. Your build is very inspirational👌🏽
@@Scoobyfreak86 i have el headers as well but pushing 22psi through a blouch 1.5 and sitting at 360/310 on a mustang, where you got it tuned definitely played with the dyno settings is all in saying.
Sounds good. I’m still partial to the quad tip look though. Ideally you’d have the sound and looks but sometimes can’t have both. Color flicker stole the show again 🤣
Would love to see you try the ETS extreme (resonated) That one seems to be a killer exhaust but most people don’t record it well, where you would give a full in depth review
Do you plan on trying anything from Invidia? I just put an r400 cat back on my 2021 STi as my first mod; and I’m loving it. Do you prefer the “flatter” sound of the equal length headers or do you ever see yourself going to an aftermarket UEL? Can’t deny the power gains of the ELH. Thanks, love your work!
Most likely not. The r400 is a very requested exhaust, but after trying so many options, I am a skip joint fan boy haha. Anything with gaskets doesn’t interest me as much. It’s a nice piece though. I don’t see myself going back to uel. The gains, reliability, and overall feel of the car far surpasses the sound of uel. Too many pros on el to go back. One of my favorite mods, by far.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Amazing. I hope to have a car as tastefully modded as yours eventually. Have you ever tried or considered paint protection film? I’d like to have it done properly but would you recommend it? I know you’re ceramic coated but my car gets beat up by rocks and I am considering paint protection film on my front bumper and side skirts. And maybe around the hood scoop where I already have a bad chip.
Is there a possibility you could put up a small clip of the tomei revving to let’s say 3k, then follow it up with a AWE clip revving to 3k? Side by side comparison in the same video to get a good comparison of sounds ?
@@Scoobyfreak86 true! But mine is perfectly fine zero leaks! And it sounds amazing. The only I would consider, is the AWE track! That one is deep tho. Hopefully you can do the R400! I really love how in detail you go with the sound comparison 👌🏼
Have you ever tried the R400? I’ve had it on for the past year and 2 of the gaskets have already crumbled away after the mid pipe. Replacing them with GrimmSpeed gaskets soon
I noticed them deteriorating while my car is at the dealership. Been there for 1 week dealing with a turbo stud 😂 drilling and re-tapping hardened steel isn’t fun lol, especially when trying to find a M14 tap
Love the tomei. So glad i got one on my sti. The only other exhaust im wanting to try is the rk titanium single exit! And theyre local to me here in washington. Love the video and welcome to the tomei gang🤘🏽🤘🏽
Hey scoobyfreak, I'm new to the car world. I have a WRX STI 2017, completely bone stock. The first thing I wanna do of course is change the exhaust. Is it worth getting a AWE Track Exhaust on a completely stock car for 1k? I understand that it's a muffler delete, but I could get a Axleback Exhaust that is also a muffler delete for 450 compared to a AWE Track for 1k.
@@Scoobyfreak86 I mean you definitely have some pull in the subaru community, and his brz basically started his channel. I don't think it could hurt to reach out.
I cant get over having the right side exhaust empty. Even with the block off plate, you can still tell there is supposed to be an exhaust there. Any care that comes stock with the dual exhausts you need to keep it that way. Hope you put the AWE track edition back on.
I too was the same way until I put it on The car. That’s why I like actually installing all these Exhausts and experiencing them. I used to not like the single exit on the va, but now that I have it, it looks way better than I thought. Plus the sound is wild. This is also my 3rd car with quad tip exhausts, so it’s not new to me.
@@Scoobyfreak86 that's what I got as well...and now I'm starting to see people complaing the tomei us version breaks at the welds..common issue apparently..got me worried
