How anyone could give a thumbs down is beyond me. I had the privilege of seeing Tommy live, what a consummate performer & entertainer. Thanks for sharing this video.
If Chet was a "man with a green thumb", then Tommy is obviously a thumbs-up man. Such a good-natured fellow through all these shows through all these years.
Liked the way way his right hand Finger snapped and his left hand played bass lines in the 9 pound hammer then proceeded later to brush the guitar behind the bridge and say" take it away boys' while his left hand hammered away the tune. EXCEL ... Every trick technique note is awesome.
WOW !!! Why does my guitar not sound like his? What a great entertainer! Obvious he loves his trade. You can see how he loves the sound he is producing as do I.
I wish I had bookmarked the video, but there's one video where he's playing. Hits a bum note about 30 seconds in and says "Wait, we're starting over..." Then plays it again. Obviously he could have kept going and half the audience wouldn't have even noticed but it had to be perfect. Soo to answer your question....I've seen him miss ONE note lol. The guy is absolute perfection.
I have seen him in person 5 times. His guitar sounds completely different. I agree, it has something to do with the recording method. The worst is when people record him with their phone. They should not be allowed to do that.
