Telling the world how to operate the controls including the secret button location kinda makes the statement “ to prevent unauthorized use” redundant as I now know where the secret button is.

How do you replace a taillight bulb in that f-150 if you cant get to the screws with the gate in the way?

My installer knows that the lenses will be unaccessable after install, so he tapped holes for screws on the face of the lens so they can still be removed.

Can you set a longer time out period 90 seconds? Like 1/2 hour or 15 mins. (It makes me want to look at another manufactures life gate).

how do you open the flap with a tread plate steel deck. mines locked or frozen and I can't find the release.

Is installation included with purchases? Is it possible to install at home if purchased online? Not sure where i'd go to get it installed...did a google search and nothing

For the installation of a Tommy Gate hydraulic liftgate, an experienced truck equipment upfitter is recommended. There will be some labor costs, but a good installer can upfit one in a few hours. It would be worth the investment to have the assurance that everything was installed and wired correctly. You can find the Tommy Gate dealers nearest you by using the "Dealer Locator" at www.tommygate.com.

I am Interested...Can You Please tell me, do I need a Dual battery Hook up to work this without draining my main battery or do I have to leave the truck running at all times when using?? ... Thank You, DanO

Thank you for the comment. For a pickup, no dual battery is needed. On some commercial van applications it is recommended though. Call 1-800-LIFTGATE with any further questions. You can always get a Tommy Gate customer service representative on the phone there. They are extremely knowledgeable and always eager to help.

Aluminum platform is 1500 lbs & steel 1300lbs. Alum cost more but less dead weight & more durable so depending on weather/price this may be an issue

Horrible video. Very distracting and unnecessary music and the one thing I needed to know, how to lower the lift, was the one thing you blew right past. Thanks for nothing.
