@JSTONE9352 They seem to get some great concerts at the Bitter End. I saw John Wicks & The Records play there several years back and it was an amazing night. I think they recorded live there too, just like Tommy.
How in God's name it's Tommy James not in the Hall of Fame when the other musicians but he is 10 times better than I don't understand it these guys and put these musicians in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame I just a bunch of haircuts they put into the water if they don't like it they don't put you in simple as that!
First recorded by Gene Pitney. It's an interesting story how Tommy James with "help" from Roulette Records President Morris Levy lifted this tune away from Gene Pitney. You can read about it in Tommy James book, "Me, The Mob, and The Music", Pages 111>112. Great tune, it's easy to understand why Tommy wanted it.
