This song is a response by Gary Moore about the Korean Airlines flight 007 that was shot down by the Soviet Union on September 1st 1983 where all 269 passengers on board were killed. This is obvious that he is talking about a plane crash in the lyrics but that is the one he is talking about in particular.
Chris and Tommy always sound amazing together, but they did an absolutely incredible job with this cover. Gary's guitar sounds so fantastic in Tommy's hands, he really deserved the joy of having the guitar from his greatest idol. Like others have said, this song is about Korean Airlines flight 007 which was shot down by Soviet Union exactly 40 years ago to the day. According to Tommy, releasing this cover on the anniversary of that crash was not planned, just an incredible coincidence
Tommy and Chris together are amazing. Every time Tommy does a Gary Moore song he throws his whole soul into it and now with Gary's guitar 🎸 it's even more authentic but with Tommy's own twist. ABBAMAN,... Wow zeeeee what an A+ powerful performance. When Gary was popular at least in the US radio stations that I listen to never played him so I really don't know his music. In an interview, Tommy said never seeing Gary Moore play live is his biggest regret in life. He even had a ticket to the concert... And now it's to late. 🙁 I am so happy Tommy has purchased this guitar!

Do you know its actally the same guitar Gary used in the studio recording this song. Yes Garys old one. And it was 40 years ago today since the soviets shot down the plane the song is about, pretty cool huh.
Sometimes you simply dont have the time to do that. That does not mean I disrespect Gary, I listened to the original afterwards. Its great. I love Gary Moore.
Sounds amazing. Gary Moore's guitar bought third-hand from a guitar shop just seems wrong. An unsanctioned cage match -- winner takes guitar -- is how a legendary guitar should change hands. Drawing it from a stone would also be acceptable -- probably not workable though. (-: ••• Thanks! PEACE!!!
Well at least I feel that it is in the hands of a man that loves and respects its previous owner to the very max. And that means a lot to me 🙏🏻 I rather see it in the hands of Tommy J than hanging ln a wall to collect dust and be forgotten 🙏🏻😁
