Welcome to Tommy rabbit hole, glad to see you reacting to his covers 😊 Tommy is incredibly talented musician and singer. He's a multi instrumentalist and he does all the work with his covers himself - instrumentals, vocal harmonies, mixing, mastering, video editing... his girlfriend only helps him with filming sometimes. Besides being a guitarist for Sabaton, he also has his own band Majestica (called ReinXeed before) where he is the singer and songwriter. I recommend checking out his covers Phantom Of The Opera (he does BOTH parts himself), She's Gone (Steelheart cover) and Majestica song Above The Sky.This is definitely one of the best covers he did, simply spectacular. He covered this song before, on his Swedish Hitz Goes Metal album, and while I really loved that cover, this one is so much better, not only vocally, but also much more emotional. I love that he chose a different approach. Instead of trying to sound as broken and vunerable as Agnetha did (let's be honest, nobody can beat her there, this song was too personal for her), he sounds angry and sarcastic, which definitely works. Many reactors, who know Sabaton and then get exposed to Tommy solo have the same experience. Some wonder why he isn't dinging more in Sabaton. The answer usually is: Tommy has the BEST voice in Sabaton, but Joakim has the RIGHT voice for Sabaton. Happily we can enjoy both.
Not an ABBA fan but her singing this song reveals a lot of feelings about their divorce and hurted feelings. Tommy is doing (as always) a fantastic cover/tribute/tommystyle. I am amazed, and along with Sabaton, Volbeat and other bands in Scandinavia the future looks bright

Welcome to the rabbit hole with side tunnels. And please also check out Majestica Tommy’s own band. You can start with Above the Sky or if you want some xmas feeling check out The Ghost of Marley from their Xmas album A Christmas Carol where they from start to end tells the story about Scrooge. The whole album is awesome. Majestica was former known as ReinXeed so you can also find songs under that name. For an introduction to Tommy’s own music you can see him doing The Light 20 year celebration on his own channel. A song he wrote as a teen. Recorded with ReinXeed and has done as a “cover” of. When you have seen Ghost of Marley you want to know more about the bass player and then you can see him and Tommy doing Murder in the Sky on Tommy’s channel and you can after that check out his band Wizdoom. Start with Way of the Lost or Engrave.
The joke is that when Joakim came on board with Sabaton he was supposed to be the keyboardist and just filled in vocals until they could find a vocalist...they are still looking. Personally I think if Sabaton has both Joakim and Tommy and are still looking...they may never find one! 😆❤
"One of the lead guitarrists of Sabaton" is more correct, since Tommy and Chris do 50/50 of the solos and verses.. Yeah Tommy does have great vocals, though.
