"With my style, training is very rigorous. You're toe-to-toe, getting beat on six days a week for five or six weeks leading to a fight. There's no fun, no glamour." - Tommy Morrison
Sorry for my inactivity, was busy with visa problems, moving countries and just before the move my work laptop broke down, so was unable to edit for a while. But I got a new computer, so hopefully I'll be back with a more consistent upload schedule. Thank you for continued support and patience, stay tuned!
bro we love your videos just stay safe brother and keep yourself healthy we can wacht your other videos besides theyre addicting and entertaining we can kill time on those while you make new ones
This guy was so talented in many aspects, he could brawl if needed, and box if needed. So sad he wasn’t blessed with one of the most important traits a fighter must have, which is “Discipline.” R.I.P. Tommy “The Duke” Morrison. 🔥👊
@@Z3AL316 he took some devastating punches from old George foreman, takes quite a chin to handle a punch from big George. He had no discipline outside the ring when it came to women and drugs.
Tommy was and is still one of the most underrated boxers of all time , it didn’t help that the heavyweight division at this time was absolutely star packed , and who knows what Morrison would have achieved if he didn’t party all the time or do drugs even in training camp, he was known to party days before fights ,
I think if he’d stayed focused and dedicated he would have beaten most heavyweights of that Era. He had ridiculous talent but as the saying goes. hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
Thank you for making this video of my one of my childhood idols. Seeing Tommy in his prime like this gave me the inspiration to get back to killing it in the gym and training
@@Andrea-pe2iw Nah. Tommy’s left hook was more devastating. Even though Joe Frazier was a better fighter, Tommy’s left had speed, power, accuracy, and compactness all in 1. Not that Joe’s left didn’t. That being said, some of the hooks that Tommy threw sounded like gunshots. If Muhammad Ali had been rocked flush by Tommy’s hook as many times as he was by Joe’s, I guarantee he would have been taken into deep water. Although, Muhammad Ali in the late 1960’s was obviously an entirely different story. Frazier having twice the stamina and endurance of Morrison enabled him to throw his left hook much more often. That being said, as far as the more powerful of the 2 goes, Morrison’s left hook was superior. Although Smokin Joe’s left hook is definitely number 2, right behind Tommy.
@@aidanjalbert7180well if we do a comparison between the two hooks where the fighters load the punch and throw it then its entirely possible that tommy morrison had a better left hook. But considering the type of fights that joe frazier won with his lead hook compared to morrison... i cant change my mind
One of my favorite boxers hits the punching bag similar to how I do, that made my day. I've been looking for footage of him hitting punching bags, thank you for uploading this awesome video.
ABSOLUTE BEAST RARE AND DEADLY COMBITAION OF SPEED POWER AND TECHNIQUE LOVE HOW HE TURNS HIS SHOULDERS AND HIPS AND WRISTS INTO THE PUNCHES THATS YEARS OF TRAINING AND HUNDRED OF AMATURE FIGHTS PLUS AMAZING APTITUDE FOR FIGHTING PLUS HE HAD HEART OF WARRIOR ONLY FLAW WAS HIS DURABILITY REST IN PEECE CHAMP.
Man As soon as I saw the thumbnail I automatically liked the video! Tommy is my favorite boxer. I first found out about him in the Rocky 5 movie and I didn’t know he was a real boxer until I did some research on the cast. The man had one of the best left hooks! It was insane. To bad I found out about him a few years back. R.I.P. Tommy “the Duke” Morrison!
Never would have guessed Tommy Morrison as the first new content but I'm just glad you're back making new ones. These videos border on art (they are to me, anyway). Thanks for the uploads and good to see you back at it.
Tommy was a beast! I wish I could've watched him in his prime. My favourite fighter. This video and the music is 🔥 People forget this man beat George Foreman 1 fight before George won his world title back.
I always watch Rainy Day Boxing at school all the time. I always watch Lennox Lewis because he was always the closest to Tony Tucker, major Tucker fan by the way. Hopefully Rainy Day, can get back on track so that maybe he can post some more motivational fights and maybe he can post a training video on the Greatest Unknown boxer Tony Tucker. This video is like Rainy Days mental training right now!
I'll add TNT to my list of videos to make, one of the best heavyweights of the 80s/90s. Hopefully I'd be able to find enough footage of him. Appreciate the support!
The Duke was one of the fighters I based my boxing workouts on, especially his movements... when I first started out in boxing at 13 I watched a bunch of classic fighters and watched how they moved and created angles in which to throw good shots and Tommy was one of em... I highly rated him as a fighter in the 90’s... I could only imagine how a fight between him and Tyson would’ve gone... 🥊
