Tomorrow's Child Epcot Song 

I'm the solo singer on that music - it was a great joy and privilege to sing it, and I'm sad to learn it's not being used currently - haven't visited the park in a while!

One of the best songs in the "old" Epcot. Never should have gotten rid of it.

I am literally moved to tears from the sudden flood of childhood memories this song brought out. I miss the original Epcot Center from the 1980s! It was an underrated and underappreciated gem of a theme park.

How I miss the old Epcot Center from the 80’s!!!!!!

EPCOT is now a shadow of its former self. No world of motion, horizons, body wars, the living seas, commiuncore, kitchen kaberat, maelstrom. All gone, Food and wine is still the best reason to go.

That song is my strongest memory from the first time I went to epcot, when I was 5. It's been in the back of my mind ever since and only now, 36 years old I went to look for it thinking I was crazy and guess what??? Not crazy at all!!

Whenever I go on Spaceship Earth now, I always play this song on my phone during the decent part.

Wow! I never thought I'd hear that song again. It led you to the top of Spaceship Earth, then your seat would go backwards and you were in space. It was truly an awesome experience! Thanks for finding it! I have goosebumps right now!

Just got back from Epcot! I have not been since I was 15 and I'm 40 now! I missed this song as well as the original journey to imagination. Don't get me wrong, everything is still top notch....I just missed the original. Thanks for posting!!!!

OMG, I’m having such a moment right now. As a kid, I really enjoyed this song, but didn’t understand a single word of it, except for “tomorrow”, as English is not my first language. This song kept coming back to my thoughts every now and then but I was never really able to find it as I could only remember “tomorrow” from the lyrics. Until now. God I’m feeling that child from the early 90’s again, I’m literally in tears! Thanks for posting such a great part of Epcot’s history (I can’t believe it’s been here for 15 years and I found it only in Feb., 2024).

Thank you - I've never heard this song and it is indeed symbolic of the wonderful spirit we all were exposed to when Walt Disney spun his dreams. I was raised going to Disneyland in the 50-70's and always wanted to see WDW. Unfortunately I didn't make it during it's heyday - not until 2011 for our 60th birthdays. I'm thankful for people like yourself who share what we missed - and hope a reincarnation comes back for the youth of tomorrow.

I gotta say I really enjoyed the decent more when you had things to look at and listen to. Now they have you looking at a screen. It was so much more immersive...

This song was added in late 85 renovation. It was added because spaceship earth was the only future world attraction without a theme song. Walter Croncite narration was also done at same time. My first job at WDW was host at Spaceship Earth in 1985.

Thanks for this, went there in 1989 when I was 11 and this is 1 tune that has stuck in my head ever since (I'm now 33). Brings back a lot of memories....the other one was the tune on "Mickey's birthdayland express" which I just found as well and am glad to say that my memory has not let me down as they both sound exactly the same as I remember them...although this one doesn't have the same "wow" feeling on 2 small speakers....Disney certainly know how to put on a show!

We visited EPCOT in March 1990 when my wife was pregnant with our daughter Rebecca and I remember thinking this was played for her. This song always brings back memories of that wonderful time

I went to EPCOT Center back in 1986 & to this day this song has been engraved in my mind, thank you for posting this and brining back those wonderful memories. Now I can't wait to take my kids to experience those wonder and I can only imagine how much better it must be with todays technology.

I played this with my high school marching band in 1990. Love it so much.

This song reminds me of being a kid in the 80s, and dreaming of all of the possibilities the future would hold. Our knowledge and our technological advancements were going to make the world a better place, and I had so much hope for the future. I really miss feeling like that.

I still remember this song, so many years after riding this in the 80's.... It's amazing how music can stick with you when you mind forgets a lot of the other details.

My favourite part of this ride was when this song quietly crept in under Walter Cronkite's narration...so incredibly moving. Nothing quite like hearing his voice over this piece.The Future World is indeed born today! I'm 23 years old, and have been to WDW 17 times since 1986. EPCOT always was my favourite park! I miss classic rides like World of Motion, Horizons, and The Living Seas. My favourite Disney ride however, was Delta Dreamflight in the MK. I was devestated when they closed it.

This was my first time hearing this song. As I was listening to it I couldn't help but remember how amazing Epcot was on my first (and so far only) trip almost 2 years ago. Not only that but all of the unbridled joy I felt when I was there- that I was actually in Epcot! I'm so happy for their 30 years and wish so many more for them!

My favorite shirt from WDW was a white cotton tshirt that had all of the countries of World Showcase in a circle. So awesome. The rides were more informational and longer than today's rides for sure.

At this point in the ride. If I remember right you were descending backwards out of the sphere and there were pictures projected in front of you if children from all over the world. Is that right?

Epcot's my favorite too. The first time we went to Disney World when I was old enough to remember it, pretty much everything in Future World blew my mind and jumpstarted my love of science and technology. I remember watching the demo presentation of Disney VR (flying through Agrabah on a magic carpet) and being enchanted by the possibilities. Now that VR is actually a thing, I can honestly say it was worth the wait. A few years later, we went again and at the time I had to do an assignment for school where I wrote a report on a country. I picked Morocco and we spent a lot of time in the pavilion so I could gather enough information for the report. The last time I was there was for the Millennium Celebration and there was a lot of cool stuff to see, not least of which was Reflections Of Earth, which was brand new at the time. I got the CD soundtrack to that show as a souvenir and I still listen to it. If I'm lucky, I may be coming into some money soon and the first ting I want to do is go to Disney World again. It's been so long since I was there and so much has changed that it will basically be like going for the first time. I can't wait.

This song takes me back so strongly, talk about goosebumps. Beautiful orchestration, a theme that stuck with you. It will always be in my heart, representing everything that was ever great about EPCOT. On a side note, did it really take four minutes to descend from Spaceship Earth? It didn't seem that long at all!

im not 100% sure but i think they put this at the end of the Spaceship Earth again because people said they missed it or a song that is very close to this one I was just down there and i thought this was the song tht i heard so i think they brought it back for now........ @destroyahdes thanks again for posting this. i always watch the horizons tribute and other old epcot rides including spaceship earth with walter cronkite and listen this song afterwards. it brings me back to days where i was young and i would go to disney with my family before my siblings and i started going to college and couldnt make the trip to disney as often. i was just so glad to see horizons the last year it was open.

This song takes me back...wow

I liked hearing this song whenever I would ride spaceship earth which was one of my favorite rides at epcot. I liked hearing the story of communication which went from cavemen drawing on walls to modern day people typing on laptop computers and I liked seeing what futuristic communication might be like.

My friend got so annoyed by this song he asked the teacher to turn it off as soon as she played it

Just got back from Epcot with my mother, a little mom son time. I haven't been there since I was 13. Very different..., some of the rides haven't changed to our time! Spaceship Earth was a disappointment, I thought they would have updated it or add something. Horizons is gone, but World of Energy is still there. Countries are the same. They don't play this song anymore, and Spaceship Earth is narorated by some animated voice, not like Walter Kroncite. Wow, how things have changed.

Love it. Epcot used to have such wonderful music back in the day. You don't happen to have Horizons' theme song, do you? That was my favorite attraction.

@AlexRGravlin My parents and older brother got to go in '86. I was too young to go (less than a year old). They brought me back a souvenir book and I fell in love with everything I saw in that book from a very early age. Still have it. :)
