When the Pistols played Winterland in '78, Richard Meltzer was emceeing and decided to take things to the next punk rock level and said some pretty derogatory things, which prompted Bill Graham to order his security goons to drag him off the stage, and Graham told Meltzer. "You can't insult my city like that!" Graham may have promoted punk acts, but lordy lordy if you rained on his parade with your punk aestethic (which he obviously couldn't relate to), he'd give you the heave-ho.
@tharrison004 Anything that draws attention to yourself, it's promoting yourself. Kim exploited these young girls like many music managers and promoters in LA. I have heard stories about Kim from past "clients" and musicians. It's not good. People like Kim Fowley are not people I like very much to say the least.
