right, I thought his point was fair - like last season whatshername had an issue with whatshisname sleeping with multiple women and we all said that she should have mentioned that before but ithat her feelings are valid. they're valid here too. but the way he said it? "if the female..." nah. just nah. So dehumanizing. also weird to mention it so early on and mention it to the men, not the woman you're interested in. that's a conversation to have further along and with only the involved parties.

I think that something (significant) was said during their dinner conversation that Rachel did not like, that *wasn't shown*. She later in an ITM mentioned that "things can change so fast just due to one thing in a conversation". I think that she was into him before that "one thing".

On the Bachelorette, the toxic ones get shown the door early on. On the Bachelor, they become the front runner.

Gabby could easily have carried the show on her own, but not Rachel. I don't know, but Rachel seems very insecure/nervous. I can't see why - she's gorgeous and has a great job - but does not seem to have a lot of confidence.

He equated having standards to controlling women. Nate was trying to sound politically correct, but his statement made no sense to me. If a woman said, what Chris said, nobody would have a problem with. What did he say that was wrong?

If the girls and the guys are allowed to think about marriage why isn't he allowed to think about the sex part of that marriage. It's an expedient process you think about everything quickly.

None of the guys either of them have started a connection with seem slimy yet, and they let people go as soon as they realize there isn’t a connection. As a unit they’ve been the best lead we’ve seen in a while (outside of Michelle of course)

Gabby has already shown she can't be honest with Rachel. She feels she has to hide the truth from Rachel about the guys she likes to protect her from the truth.

They were getting along so well then all of a sudden she became extremely uncomfortable which I didn't understand. There must have been something that really didn't click for her. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes, that's what Jason and Kaitlyn did (build from a friendship). Rachel should've given him another chance to see if it could work. I really hope we see Jordan on Paradise and he finds someone.

Chris got the boot for expressing the same view that Susie expressed with Clayton. She didn't get demonized for it. Is it only men who are forbidden to want sexual exclusivity?

Susie and Madison expressed to their Bachelors, privately, their feelings about fantasy suites, giving their Bachelors the choice to decide what to do. Chris not only bragged about how he saw himself in fantasy suites, week one, when he'd not even had a conversation with them, but he also made it sound like sex with him was a given, then he bragged about how he'd leave if they slept with anyone else, while also implying he would not tell the women of his need for exclusivity before fantasy suites. He was also very disrespectful and condesending toward them when he got called out, it had nothing to do with gender. If it had to be a conversation, it should have been a conversation with Gabby and Rachel, not the other guys. The situations are completely different.

He was creepy... professing how much he wanted Rachel when he's a good 10 years older than her. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes, and the biggest problem was that he was getting way ahead of himself, speaking to the men about it, and generally being an arrogant ass. Even the other men didn't appreciate it.

I think it's because even if this is the 1st rose ceremony, it is still technically week 2. So the first impression rose won't carry over beyond week 1.

That was weird. They didn’t really give a good explanation about why she didn’t like him. I mean they were making out and then he tells about being a responsible brother and she’s like, you got to go.

He’s probably a great guy, but the chemistry was nada and the conversation was so forced and seemed rehearsed. It is probably for the best that she didn’t drag him through more weeks since she knew he is not the one. 🤷‍♀️

It's making me so frustrated with the show/TPTB, as per usual. They claimed to be pushing the season back so they can work out how to manage two Bachelorettes, but so far just leaving Gabby and Rachel to fend for themselves. Both are capable women, but this isn't the experience I want for them.

Um, she dumped, for no apparent reason, the one guy who burned any chance with Gabby by telling Rachel up front that he was there for only her!

It does seem like the contestants having a “choice” between 2 leads gives the men a sort of leg up on the power vs if there was just one lead they would be at her mercy.

I think Rachel should’ve given Jordan one more week. The guy opened up and was immediately sent home, which was sad. Sometimes our gut can be wrong. One my first date with my fiancé, I wasn’t feeling it too much the day after. My friends encouraged me to give him another shot, and I did. Good thing I didn’t go with my guy, bcuz I’m so happy with him, now 😄

Quite possibly. Hannah Brown was praised for yelling at the guy who tried to set the boundary, and, contrary to his edit, expressed it in advance. It helps to have the storyline on your side.

I also felt so bad for him. Imagine if this was one of the first times he’s been able to open up, just to be instantly rejected. I think Rachel should’ve wait until the end of the date to send him home. Or let him go for one more week.

They seemed to really hit it off but it seemed like more of a friend connection... for her at least. Maybe he needs to work on his mojo a little bit. It was so sad to see her sitting alone at the concert.

I don’t know why these people who are on a show where one person dates multiple people at the same time expects the one person to only sleep with them or no one. Have they never seen the show before? I don’t blame the ladies for not wanting to waste their time on someone who has already said they would leave late in the game for something the show expects the ladies to do.

Women don't respect men's boundaries and standards. In the real world you wouldn't sleep with someone the day after you slept with someone else. Which ironically Clayton got the same feedback last season.

Of course there's no issue with having a boundary, especially with something so intimate. The issue was his sense of entitlement. How is it acceptable to be talking about this with other men in the second week and say that he possibly wouldn't do the same when it came to addressing it with Gabby and Rachel, the women he is there to pursue? I was mostly glad he was sent home because I sensed some underlying anger issues that, in my estimation, could be problematic later on.
