One of the most common questions I get concerning Tonex/Tonex Pedal is if we can use Tonex software as a pedal editor. While we cannot do that yet, there is still an easy workaround. In this video I go in depth on that topic along with clarifying the difference between tone models and presets so we can end up with exactly what we want on our Tonex Pedal. This is has been my overwhelming frustration trying to tweak my pedal from inside TONEX software if they come out with a Pedal Editor that would solve virtually all my regrets of buying this pedal

Great video as usual. Another thing that might be worth mentioning is that if you open the app within your DAW you don't get the librarian and modeler options, it is strictly a player in your DAW and you'll need to open the stand alone application to access the librarian and modeler tabs and functions.

Wow just found your vid and you and another vid explained this so well. Ik should explain this better. I was using the pedal as the interface and the software as an editor and it sounded like complete crap! I realized what was was happening and two rigs were coming through my monitor. We need a traditional editor! Hope they are working on it or a button in software that would allow you to go in and use as a traditional editor when in librarian. So glad I didn’t return the pedal as I knew something was wrong.

You always sound great in the videos. Can you tell me if you have a video that shows how you hook everything up? Is the guitar going directly into your interface or do you run the guitar into the pedal, then usb into the computer. No matter what I try, I have issues. No matter how I set up the buffer I hear latency.

You know man… this may seem simple to you, buuuut… Listen, the tone model I’ve chosen sounds great except it’s overly bright on my bridge pickup. I was hoping to dial that out a little.

I would start by using the Presence control and pull that down the appropriate amount to take the brightness edge off. If that isn't enough I would also try with the Treble control. Hope that helps :-)

How are you doing? All good? :) I bought Tonex One and I'm not able to configure the pedal's global equalization to make a "Low Cut - High Cut" in the Frequency Range. To limit the speaker frequencies.. Could you help me? thanks friend 🥰

They are probably going to come out with a version that will allow live editing of the TONEX/ONE pedal but don't think it's going to be free..........!!

What about the Tonex CS version? I cant access the Librarian tab at all. It says to register my pedal (its registered). Also the Modeler tab is not working and it says its not available in this version of Tonex. I contacted the support and they said to get Tonex max version to access the librarian. Is this how it works? You cant access this tab in free version?

Hi, you should have received a Tonex Max license and serial number with your Tonex Pedal. You need to go to IK Porduct Manager and register your Tonex Max serial number and then you can have access to Tonex Max. Please let me know if that helps!

@@JasonSadites i know but it just doesnt work. I bought used Pedal and when i registered it in the IK using the serial number it said that it successfuly registered. Then when i type "tonex" in "all" section, the only software that pops up is Tonex CS. Is it possible that because someone has already used the number i cant access the Max version? And the Pedal works fine. I can use different presets in the CS version, i just cant access the librarian because of the "not registered" Pedal

@@Lathspell_ when someone sells ones Pedal and clicks on Transfer on the ik Website, he/she gehts the 3 Codes for the Pedal, TONEX max and AmpliTube. So if the seller gave you only one code, it is for the Pedal and he/she has kept the licenses for the Software to himself/herself.

The Software Editor is not a solution for those of us that use the pedal as a preamp to feed a live Amp rig... we need a true dedicated pedal editor in order to preview in realtime the changes to the live amp rig and physical cabinet.
