Yes. They are using bar chords throughout the song. If you are one of those individuals that struggle with bar chords, I recommend playing a nylon string guitar. A nylon stringed guitar would be the appropriate instrument to use. Spanish ballads/classical pieces should not be played on a steel string. That would be too painful and it would not have the right sound. Best of luck.

Songs that are written specifically for guitar have been arranged in such a way that playing the song just flows. Most are easily playable for me once I can figure out the proper sequence of notes and chords. I can however find it difficult sometimes when I find a tune that was originally arranged to be played on piano, and then find the proper sheet music that has translated the piano chords into guitar chords (comping). When you take piano chords and try and play the exact sequence on the guitar it can feel or seem awkward because the chord shapes that would need to be played on guitar don't seem natural. I recently started learning Chopin - Nocturne op.9 No.2 that was comped for guitar and found it rather difficult so I paused and moved onto something else. Eventually I will go back to it when I am inspired enough to push thru. Make sense?
