The whole reason I have always loved tonight alive is that they don't define themselves by a specific genre. They write what they feel and what sounds great. I love both songs they have released and I'm so excited for limitless!
Don't come looking for me I just want to be free So don't come looking for me I don't wanna be found I just wanna run away And learn to be free No No No Go Go Go My eye watch it burn Point out no return Will I ever learn (No No No) Come in over me Since I've urgency Think it's time to leave (Go Go Go) And I feel like I could fly Don't come looking for me I don't want to be found I just want to be free So don't come looking for me I don't wanna be found I just wanna run away And learn to be free Find it over ground I am swallowed whole The eath takes my home So adventure happened They drift the past away from me I will never compromise again (No No No) Cause I feel like I could fly Don't come looking for me I don't want to be found I just want to be free So don't come looking for me I don't wanna be found I just wanna run away And learn to be free No No No 3× To be free 2x I just want to rund away And learn to be free I'm limitless I'm limitless I'm limitless I'm limitless ... Don't come looking for me I don't want to be found I just want to be free So don't come looking for me I don't wanna be found I just wanna run away And learn to be free To be free To be free I just want to run away And learn to be free
I see a lot of comments complain how this isn't pop punk and the new sound sucks.... lol and that's whats wrong with this generation. Bunch of little kids crying because they will never change. Grow up, bands grow up , they cant do every album the same..... lol its different, its good compared to the mainstream.. I love this video and song lol : P
i really don't understand why everyone is complaining. bands never stay the same. they develop so much, just because you don't like the new sound that doesn't mean that they're "not tonight alive anymore". i love it all, who cares if it's changed. i fell in love with the band as a whole and not the specifics of some songs. take my chemical romance for instance; all 4 of their albums are completely different sounds. but that doesn't change anything. they're still them. the fans just need to be there with tonight alive as they grow and develop musically. :)
People shouldn't be so quick to judge on their sound...you guys haven't even heard the full album. Just relax and wait. They just might surprise! This is Tonight Alive, they're rad and I doubt they'll sell themselves away or change who they are this quickly. They'll always be great to me
People are complaining that this isn't "the same pop-punk Tonight Alive we all know and love". But it's still Tonight Alive, and we know we love them. Personally, I really like the song. Yes, the style of music is different, but it shares the same message as their old songs like "Let It Land", "The Ocean", and "Invincible" - be free. Human Interaction may be a little weak, but this shows that maybe with every song they release the rock vibes will grow stronger. Some songs have to be weaker in order to show differences, anyway; it doesn't make it bad. I'm excited for the album. Rock on.
The drum beat is 80's ,the bass is grunge, with 90's punk guitar, vocoder from 2000's,good vocals good sound -never tire of listening to it.It should have topped the charts but mainstream radio won't play it.Only heard of it because 3D radio in Adelaide played it on a Monday night,at least they are playing Australian music not crap from US
it's a shame the comments are filled with negativity. I agree, it's a new sound, vastly different to their heavier songs in the past. But I'm really excited to hear what the rest of the songs sound like, I love it.
I for one, think that this song is amazing. I don't listen to the way it sounds, but rather the lyrics. If you don't vibe with it, chances are, it's just not where you're at in this music "journey", per say. Anyway, I find it amazing and I think they're going places.
Well seems like a lot of people are disappointed with the two new singles so far but i LOVE them. It is a bit different but still sounds really good. Keep it up!
I don't see that big of a change. This is still TA, lyrics still have meaning, and you know you are not gonna go far if you are not changing anything in your music. Evolve and learn new things.
Will always support Tonight Alive no matter what... But I do miss their old sound. I mean I like this too, but it's not the same Tonight Alive I fell in love with.
Lyrics and Jenna's vocals are flawless, the the whole sound has matured and evolved. This song is so damn catchy and this album is going to be fuckin tops. So excited for the release and the gig!
this song sounds like it could be the soundtrack to a movie or something, but i still love it! this and human interaction are a new direction for the band but they are definitely making the new sound work!
I love this song and every other TA song. Because I love tonight alive. All their experiments, all their changes, everything. they are a talented group of people and deserve to do whatever they want with their music. It’s still fucking awesome.
its so different from anything that tonight alive has done. and to people who are saying that they wouldnt be caught up on big label stuff, theyve always been on SME in Australia, and Fearless in the US. I think its great that they're trying new stuff out. I think the lyrical aspect is staying similar and they want to try something new with music. Its good to broaden your appreciation i think
BMTH literally smashed into this music scene like a celestial body to the surface of the moon. I can't believe the impact Drown had on these indie label bands.
I don't understand why so many people are saying Tonight Alive is lost...I've read an interview with Jenna about this album and she said it would be new sounds...every band is gonna change in time...it doesn't mean you should like them any less
I literally cannot wait for this album holy shit THEY'VE CHANGED SO MUCH THEY'RE STILL SO GOOD WOW I do wish they would stay a little less pop though, I don't want to have to witness another Paramore-esque trainwreck...
Never heard of this band before Human Interaction came up on my recommended. So glad I discovered them. This is song is. I don't even know. It still shocks me how much music can change the way I feel.
Honestly the best part of this song is the bridge, and maybe the last chorus. Overall I like it but idk, there's just something missing. Loved Human Interaction though, so I'm hopeful for the album :)
To be Free is my favorite single out of the 3 songs TA has released, not saying Drive or human interaction are bad i just think the power and freedom this song gives off is really cool. I honestly can't wait for what TA has in store for us this year *COUGH* warp tour 2016
This song sounds like a theme song for any teen drama show on the tv during the early to mid nineties in Australia. Aussies will know what I'm talking about lol
Huhuhuhu pop punk rock pls.. i miss THE BAND. So far, the release of the first two songs were... shocking. Bec ain't used to this pop thingy of TA.. i'll want more of their pop punk rock tho. i miss the band..
Stop! They sound different and that's okay to be honest I really like it this one. They're just making good music who fucking cares if it's rock or pop.
i've never clicked off a tonight alive video before it finished, until now... :/ I really hope the rest of the album is better, don't fix what isn't broken!
Previous songs/albums packed punch. What is this? Something feels like it's missing. I love Tonight Alive, I mean love love love, and I will probably purchase this album...but I don't know. I feel weird about this. Maybe they're trying to go in a different direction...but what they had was so good. I guess we'll see what the rest of the album sounds like. I will always support you guys!
It's true that they have changed their sound. It's not a bad thing. It's just different and we aren't used to it. They're just growing up as a band, and they want to try something new.
definitely was a fan of the older albums/sound, but it's cool to see them changing up their style. of course, i prefer the old stuff, but this new sound is cool
jesus lets just remember they're artists, they write and sing and play as they wish, you can't demand things as "hey do it more punk rock" or "go back to the old style". people change, their horizons expand. let's just see what they have for us now and, if we appreciate it, great, if we don't, it's a shame really, but at least they did risk it.
