Denying COVID-19, promoting the 'rigged' election theories, arguing with fans on his PUBLIC twitter, which in part represents his entire team. Talking shit about his teammates from a painfully obvious burner account. That's well beyond other players encouraging fans to vote. He could be doing that for antifa and the result would be the same. Maybe even harsher considering the NHL's biggest markets. Plus he's causing problems in the locker room, which hurts the entire team on the ice. And no one is really surprised - He interviewed horribly his draft year (2014, before Trump was even running in earnest) which is why so many teams passed up on him. Two more teams gave him up before he made it to NYR. Now, between the PR issues, the insane drop in production that would usually make up for being a defensive liability, the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that got him benched for two games, starting a fight with his goalie, AND the talk about how he's treated K'Andre Miller, he's doing waaay more damage than he's worth.

Could’ve traded him when he had some value and credibility last year especially because management should’ve knows of the mass amount of defensive assets coming to the team lately. Now if he goes unclaimed that’s just dead money on the team’s cap for a bridge deal that in hindsight shouldn’t have been dealt.
