BBC Childrens TV 60th birthday Jubilee in 1983. Short segment looks at how home technology had advanced in 60 years. Shows off a Sony SL-C9 Betamax video recorder and a Philips Laserdisc. Predicts a future with satellite TV.
You can see the camera operator in the reflection in the Laserdisc.

Had a look at the pamphlet, BBC video seemed to suppost laser disc. I thought there may only be a few titles.

Happy memories of the effortless and genuine Tony Hart. And even happier memories of the beautiful Sarah Greene. Who was more beautiful, Sarah or Glynis Barber? We will never know but it is always good to contemplate the dilemma :)

hi this was when tony was very hot he came to the bracknell open day and i can tell you the place was packed out 0f people there's well before the net
