In this mini-series we build, fly and review this laser cut sailplane kit from Tony Ray. The model is 1/6 scale, has a span of 3 metres (112"), and is designed for 4 to 6 channel RC. The model can be built for slope soaring, for aerotow, thermal soaring, or as a motor glider with the inclusion of a brushless motor.
In Part 2 we build wings. Although the finished wings are enormous, they are built in sections using Tony's trademark style. This means they can be built on a fairly small building board. During the build with these exquisite laser cut parts, we experience the first issues with this kit, along with how we solved them.
