Too Little Too Late - Tomco | SVTFOE ANIMATIC 

So my guess on the story behind this is fem!Marco and m!Star had a thing I guess??? And then Tom's sister came in the picture and she wanted m!Star, so one day she kissed m!Star and fem!Marco walked in on it. So fem!Marco felt heartbroken and decided to get out of the relationship. And I'm guessing the Silver Bell Ball is where everyone is at in this (or maybe Blood Moon ball, or different ball, I don't know). So Uh, that whole fem!Marco-walking-in-on-Tom's-sister-kissing-m!Star thing happened some time before the ball. And by the time the day of the ball came, m!Star realized that fem!Marco doesn't want to get back together with him (even though they both still have feelings for eachother). So, he decides to ask Tom's sister to dance (because Tom and his family would be there of course), and she happily agrees. And fem!Marco just happens to find her way to the ball,, who knows how. And like, Tom always kinda had the fancy for fem!Marco, so he confronts her. Fem!Marco doesn't know how to react to this is at first. And when she starts singing her part and it shows m!Star with Tom's sister at the "on a gust of love" part, I interpret that as Fem!Marco's flashback of walking in on Tom's sister kissing m!Star a few weeks earlier. And she's kinda singing her feelings out about how she feels about that situation. Meanwhile, m!Star heard fem!Marco's name announced earlier, so he decides to look for her to at least greet her, or just see her. He misses her so,, he wants to at least see her, ya know? Maybe apologize for the thousandth time and explain that he didn't want to be kissed by Tom's sister. He hears her voice while he's looking and decides to go to the area her voice is coming from. I guess it's at this point where fem!Marco decides that she should ignore her feelings for m!Star and try being with Tom, hence why she decided to kiss him. That's when m!Star sees them, and he gets a bit heartbroken too. So, that's my interpretation of this. The art style was beautiful though, and I like how you set this up, and m!Star is the cutest thing ever!
