That one dive almost turned into a bomb Gary. The wind and being next to a building makes for some adverse flying!! No harm, no foul. Good stuff my friend, AirHammer out!!
I really like that you keep the plane relatively close to the camera, even your larger planes. I see so many RC RU-vidrs that half of the video the planes out of site, too far away. Because you're head camming, you're a little off the mark occasionally, but you're really good at it. This Timber is just another Eflite UMX plane made out of fragile coffee cup foam. It's too bad, because they fly good, but they're fragile
Great video. Just bought one of these today. Can’t wait to fly it. Just curious what you use for filming? Are you filming it yourself or is someone filming for ya? Great footage. Just subscribed today.
That near miss with wall of death was a brief moment of "wow!" LOL. Great Save! I have flown the Original UMX Timber with great affection. Have not flown the Evolution version. One of my other favorites is the UMX Ultrix. That is also great plane and handles the wind surprising well. Thanks for sharing!
Thats what I like about my UMX planes I can fly them on my property when I cant make it to the flying field great job flying it on a windy day mine handle really good between 5mph and small gusts 👍👍😀
what's everyone's cutoff point with the wind? 🤔 I mean how windy does it have to be for you to cancel a flight, I'm cutting off at 8 mph. Gary you have a very nice selection of flying fields to choose from. 👍
Flying in wind is a particular challenge and can be a lot of fun, as you can fly maneuvers that you couldn’t do otherwise. You can surf the wind, drift, kite, stand still like a helicopter… and once, with a lot of luck (admittedly), I even managed a helicopter landing with my UMX Pitts: almost fully vertical from some 2 meters. That looks weird and impressive at the same time 😊.
Grat video Gary. Lots of turbulent swirling wind between all those trees and building. Good job keeping it out of the trees and away from that building.
Do you like this or the UMX Air Tractor better? I had to choose and I went for the Air Tractor, was not disappointed. TT Evo will probably follow when my TT is no longer flyable 😅
Any suggestions on how to get the ball link apart (and back together) to make mechanical adjustments? Good save. I could see the wind moving the trees. 👍🏻🙂
