‘Stop assuming things about your body’ may I remember this every time I go and label a pain or a symptom with something even more than what it already is!!
@Gydjulind
@Gydjulind 2 года назад
Yes, labelling symptoms just takes us further and further off our road, whereas being with the symptoms, experiencing them with all our senses, acknowledging them, even embracing them as ‘lost children’ is so much more valuable to our healing process.

Irene and her program became the biggest support and resource in my life. I’ve tried it all, brain retraining programs, supplements, meditation, energy healing, you name it. All my system needed is me getting out of my head and back into my body. After 7 years of chaos and lifetime of health and mental issues I’m back living, planning, learning to love and embrace my human experience. If you haven’t done any of her courses do it NOW. It’s going to be the best investment you’ve ever done.Knowledge is the key 🔑 Thank you a million times Irene.

Oh that is wonderful to read. Thank you for sharing your journey and what worked! I'm curious - what courses and offerings have you done? May I share these words you've written with others? Keep learning and healing. Irene. ♥️🙏🙌

@@IreneLyon dear Irene sure you can, it’s an honor for me🥰the list is long:EMDR, DNRS,Gupta, EFT, hypnosis and one additional brain retraining course. Reiki (I’m a Reiki Master myself), cold therapy, meditations with J.Dispenza and his course, energy healing modalities, Psychotherapy, acupuncture, diets, juicing, allergy treatments, there is more but I would need to think about as I lost the track of things I’ve done in the last 7 years. They are all very good modalities just completely missed helping me🤕If only I knew about your course earlier…… but the universe has its own rules,so now I have massive knowledge for sure. I did your 21 days in winter and just finished SBSM. I have experienced shifts in the last 7 months of doing the work that I haven’t had in 7 years. I’m only at the beginning but I have hope, I have reinvented myself and my future, I started to listen…to this walking talking perfect machine, we call the body. I’m still learning it’s language and its needs and when to pause and rest and integrate. You and Seth are my new family and first ever people I and my system can trust. It’s huge. If I feel lost and confused all I have to do is to rewatch the material from the course and I always find answer or guidelines. I love what you do as I have the same approach in teaching my students. Knowledge first, understanding and growing those pathways then embodying the material. What you offer is gold covered with diamonds 💎 thank you 🙏 🥰😘🥰😘🥰😘🥰😘🥰

Interesting conversation! though i'm one of those semi-triggered people haha because ehlers danlos IS an unchangable genetic condition like down's. It's less a disease and more a 'form of the human body'. We were structurally built from conception to have stretchier weaker tissues because our DNA holds a faulty recipe for collagen. Because of this difference in tissues, our nerves communicate differently and are kind of primed for poor communication and dysregulation, so any illness/injury (and we have LOTS because of weak tissues) can lead to chronic pain/symptoms, which over time accumulates. You can't cure EDS, but you can use nervous system regulation to treat the hyperactivity of chronic pain signals and many other systems and symptoms, which could in theory "cure" you of some of the ways EDS is manifesting at the moment, which often varies wildly over the course of our lives. But it will never have an effect on our hypermobility or skin differences - those are just our traits, akin to eye color.

Thankyou this is so helpful - I’m about to start the 21 day tune up course and due to also being in chronic pain 24/7 with also suspected EDS on top of another syndrome called sapho syndrome fibromyalgia chronic fatigue and Heart SVT’s .. etc I too realise now all these incurable rare syndromes are old unhealed traumas and a deregulated nervous system and I have a multitude of trauma from shock ,chemical ,fluid multiple surgeries force impact to teen childhood emotional and physical abuse -3 years I’ve been on a holistic healing journey and though I’ve healed so much I’m still living in chronic pain flare ups .I’ve not yet addressed all the most important points raised in ALL Irene’s videos Since watching so many of these videos my body has been going through some shifts big and small already! Im so looking forward to doing the 21 day tune up and smart body mind

This was useful to me because I’ve been ivertixified and down the past 20 years trying to figure out that breast implants, a gorgeous condo with mold, infections, operations, and MUCH more including money, friends and family, and now lyme and incredible stress and violence, which I am trying to remove from my house (ex and son who have mold in their home)… but almost 3 years is quite enough❣️🙏

I love this. I am signing up for SBSM course. I've been listening to Irene's videos and so far they've gotten me out of bed and facing the world and mist important not fearing the fear and knowing I can heal. 22 years i have had chronic bowel dysfunction, 5 operations on my bowel 5th was emergency surgery to save my life and 2 operations on my shoulder. I live with chronic nerve pain clothes cause me so much pain, fibromyalgia they name it as. I can’t even wear sunglasses or hats cause of nerve pain. I'm so hopeful since finding Irene's work. Thank you so much 💓

@@IreneLyon I'm so excited. Do you think its worth me doing the 21 day tune up while I'm waiting for September? I'm working through the free stuff off the website, taking my time because the survival energy is so strong when I read which now I know is related to childhood trauma. Thank you so much 💓

@@forwardmovingfliss8487, Jen here again. It may definitely be worth doing the 21 Day Tune Up, especially if you're planning to join SBSM in September. Much of the content is culled from the SBSM so it can be a good way to prepare, and what you pay for the "Tune Up" is applied to the cost of SBSM too.

Hi Lara La, Jen here from Team Lyon. Yes, as others have said Elisabeth participated in the 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up. For some people, that's all they need to create the changes they seek. Others of us may need the deeper work taught in SmartBody SmartMind (SBSM).

Happy to hear this story, thank you both for sharing. I would love to know if your program is all Elisabeth did or did she add nutrition, supplements, functional medicine? maybe yoga? breathwork? Psychology work maybe? (like the book on attachment she mentioned) ect and does she have any recommendations ?

Hi Angelic, Seth here with Team Lyon just following up on this. We passed your question on to Elisabeth and this is what she said... After the 21 day tune up I did a trauma informed yoga course (with an educated mentor in Somatic Experiencing). My lower back and pelvis had become chronically tense due to over 15 years of trauma (stress) so I needed some extra help. (Frida at heltunderliv for the Swedes). Then I got help (with supplements) from a hormone expert to regulate my hormones. All those years of being sick had made my cortisol wiped all my other hormones. My hormone levels was not flat lined thanks to the ns work I have done, but they needed some extra help. She told me that if I had come to her two years earlier she wouldn't have been able to help me. The supplement treatment doesn’t work if you’re still in survival response. The shadow work, attachment styles, development and childhood trauma studies was just some self reading/online courses. Everything I’ve done during these two years of my healing journey I did online. The interesting part is I have never met my mentors irl (only on calls/zoom/mail).

Is this course suitable for someone with CPTSD? Thank you :)
@IreneLyon
@IreneLyon 2 года назад
Hi Nicola, Jen here from Team Lyon. There are many people with CPTSD who have participated in both the 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up and SmartBody SmartMind. It can be quite important to learn to listen to one's nervous system and learn to respect one's unique pace. Sometimes it's also helpful to do some 1-1 work with a practitioner alongside participation in the course and/or program.

Can she share how she helped herself through her dissociation? It is predominantly what I exist in and it’s frightening and I can’t identify myself. Anybody from Irene’s team able to respond?
@IreneLyon
@IreneLyon 2 года назад
Hi Kathy D, Jen here from Team Lyon. From the nervous system perspective, disassociation is typically a symptom of being in freeze/conservation physiology. We tend to go into freeze when there is more happening in our experience (this can be internal and/or external) then we have the capacity to hold at the time. It can also happen when we attempt to fight or to flee and our unsuccessful, or when the physiology deems it to be the best survival strategy at the time. As we to grow capacity, we start to sense what’s under the surface of the freeze and learn to work with it. You learn foundational education and practices in Irene’s 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up (the course that Elisabeth took) and her SmartBody SmartMind (SBSM) program offers a deeper dive. I’ll link to the “Tune Up”, and also to one of Irene’s free resources you might check out as well as to a video of Irene’s related to dissociation. The Stormi, Jen here from Team Lyon. To add to what Steps 2 better singing shared, SmartBody SmartMind (SBSM) is Irene's more comprehensive program. She also has a self-study course that you can start anytime called the 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up. This is the one that Elisabeth did. The 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up can be a great way to learn basics related to nervous system education and practice and it can also be a way to prepare for the more comprehensive SBSM is you're joining on doing that.
