We never seen that BIG BUCK. We was so focused on getting one of those does for hadlee that we completely missed the wall hanger that came out of the woods lol...guess where I am right now? Lol HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all you wonderful people of RU-vid!
Congratulations. Cool memories for you both. But if you didn't see it how could you fallow it with the camera? Did that shot we heard hit just in front of him. Looks like it did.
Jacob Adams Yes, what a waste of 16 minutes! His heading is extremely misleading and just CLICK BAIT as far as I'm concerned! Very sneaky! And I don't see anything to be proud of having a young girl killing a deer. I found it disgusting, and disgusted having been tricked into watching his video at all. Certainly not subscribing! For Big Truth! kristi
Katie York 😂😂 same I was like where’s Bigfoot theirs no trees being thrown so it must be chupacabra looking for deer as it’s getting as far from Mexico.
Best feeling in the world when you can take ur kids hunting for the first time!! Took my 7yo son last week for the first time,, more people need to do this!!!!
It's amazing some of the comments people make and leave. This is a video of a father teaching his child about hunting. To kill and to always make sure you eat what you kill and only take what you need. It's not so much a sport kill, since it's a doe.... No trophy hunt there. It's a father teaching his child to hunt. Yes, for hunters it's a lifestyle. One that we are very proud of and hand down to our children. Obviously, you could tell immediately what the video was. No reason to leave an ignorant comment. Congrats on the successful hunt with your child.
Awesome job Dutch! Great work by the girls. And fully agree , to hell with anyone who disagrees with your parenting approach. My daughter is Fifteen now and I remember other parents when she was a toddler Oh you can't let her play with real scissors, or a real knife, or sleep rough with you in the woods. That girl now carries a fifty pound + pack when we hit the hills and puts fish or meat on the fire, can out punch the equivalent aged boy, put five shots inside 1"@ 200yds with a 6.5x55mm or .260 Rem with her hand loads. She has great self discipline, a wide circle of friends and does extremely well academically in school. Yes in this day and age some see it as unorthodox but I have few worries about her abilities or future should society get worse.
Thank you for all the kind comments and thumbs up above, I know I shouldn't be but I am proud of her. She has a strength of resolve and depth of character that sometimes staggers even me. I believe she is most likely going to be a fine and upstanding adult and I am always happy to spend time in her company. I once received a phone call from the High School a few years back asking me to attend a meeting with the head teacher as she had been involved in a fight, very odd behaviour I thought but duly went up with my better half. It turned out that a much larger girl had been aggressive towards another girl and punches and slaps were getting flung by the aggressor. My daughter being concerned had got between them to break it up and the aggressive party had thought it an idea to transfer their behaviour towards my daughter instead, whereupon she had defended herself quite effectively bringing the incident quickly to an end. The whole incident was caught on CCTV and it was clear what had happened. The head teacher then proceeded with a lecture about not getting involved and reporting the incident to an adult for them to attend and deal with the situation, which clearly would have taken some considerable time, also that she should not have responded with violence towards violence. Disliking his modern, politically correct, let someone else sort it out stance and holier than thou attitude I turned to my daughter and asked her "do you believe you did the right thing". Yes she replied, the smaller party would have been badly hurt if I had done what is suggested. Fair enough I replied and while looking the head teacher in the eye I said to her "never ever be someone else's punch bag, you will always defend yourself when required and we will deal with the consequences afterward". Which did lead to another lecture come debate about school guidelines, rights and wrongs and consequences. In the end though he had to agree, no wrong had been done morally, legally or otherwise and that restraint had been shown in that no excessive force was used. While he was unhappy that we rejected his modern regulated rules laden approach to the incident, at least he was very clear as to where she and her parents stood.
Awesome video. Men like yourself who raise daughters to be confident and respectful and give them your love and patience are truly the backbone of society. My hat's off to you Sir. You make us all proud.
You are a good dad. Absolutely nothing wrong with feeding your family. You did nothing wrong as far as I’m concerned. Good for your daughter. She could feed your whole family with the knowledge you are teaching her. There is a right way and a wrong way. You did everything right.
She is so cute. She did good explaining. I'm 66 live alone out in the country but I've got a 6o pound dog and LTC and I'm always packin' - good job Daddy in teaching your little girl to be confident and not dependent. Well done!
@Daryl Campbell.....Agreed. I wouldn't have shot him myself, but I wouldn't have denied a youngster the shot either. Dutch may be flogging himself right now, but the herd is better off for his 'goof' and Hadlee DID get her deer. I say "No harm, no Foul".
I think that's awesome! My dad took me and my brother when were young. When I had my boys, I didn't have girls, when I couldn't my dad took them. Neither of my boys dads wanted to have anything to do with teaching them how to shoot and how to respect firearms. My boys and myself have even won trophies in shooting competitions. I'm proud of my boys and how they treat firearms. I have a carry permit. And I'm proud of it. Thank you for sharing this video and message.
Nothing bonds a father and child better than Bible Reading and Hunting... I can recall many hunting trips with my Father... And now that He's gone... I cherish them even more... Dutch it's Awesome what You go for Your Family... Instill them with those qualities and Keep Up the Awesome Videos... Watching from Chambersburg, PA....
I salute you sir and your outlook on life. Got my first one at 10. You are raising your children the right way and teaching them to be self sufficient. Godbless you and may the Lord be with you always.
You have no idea the impact you have on your little girls life. So, so, many little girls that become women without a Daddy end up in therapy and bad situations later in life. Send that Buck to the Arkansas Ozarks....I'll be waiting on it.
I don't do that type of thing, but I admire you immensely for passing on those skills. I teach my granddaughter to have good manners no matter where we are, for example, she will stand to the side while waiting for elevators in case someone is exiting, in fact an older lady pushed her way in before we could exit, and my granddaughter said 'grandma, that was rude wasn't It? She opens doors and will give up her seat and she also has good table manners. I think these things are important, and btw she has just turned 8 lol.
My brother. Humbling. It's nice to see family hunting together .our hunters of the future We all as fathers have to teach our young ones survival is the key food on the table in the knowledge to hunt . I just as proud as you r for your daughter brings memories back thank you GOD BLESS OUR DADS KEEP UP THE GOOD TIME GOD BLESS
Wow he was beautiful. They are really majestic animals. When I went to visit my brother at the Air Force Academy I couldn’t believe my eyes. One night we were walking in the quad and on a grassy knoll in front of us were abt 6-7 🦌 and then right underneath a large light sat a Huge Buck. Of course he sat there like a king on his throne. We moved closer and he didn’t even flinch. I can hear him saying yes you know I’m awesome and I’m not afraid of you cuz you can’t hurt me cuz I’m protected by federal law here. LOL I’m happy you had a great chance to bond and that was your real trophy you both received that day. Look at it as a great big hug from God above. God Bless 💜
Congratulations Hadley . You are a good hunter . Your Daddy is proud of you , i know he is . Dutch you are a special dad . I'm one that will not find any fault with how you raise your girls . People may complain and gripe about shooting guns , but when times get hard , you know your girls will be eating and then the ones that had bad things to say , will be asking your girls for food . Again congratulations little girl , good job . Love from Indiana .
Now that's how to be a parent! Teach them the things they need to know to survive no matter the conditions they are faced with. Good job! I raise my daughters the same way!
Bucks come and go (well maybe not ones that big) but that memory will last for ever. Good for you keeping it fun and light.. candy, smiles and laughter go a long way...
This young man raising his children in such a fashion is OUTSTANDING!!! Its not all flat screen TVs and iphones out there , Ive seen that with my own eyes during my years in the military.Self reliance MUST BR PRIORITY IN THIS WORLD. Hesitation can be not only youre death BUT the man next to you albeit family member, spouse, best friend or just you defending an helpless person against an aggressor etc. More children in this GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS NEED TO RAISED THIS WAY.GREAT JOB YOUNG MAN.ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND YOURE FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS
Dang Dutch! I thought I taught you better than that! When I said you had to pass up the big buck I didn't mean all of the big bucks! It was just the one that was off limits!
It was an honor to witness lil Ms.Hadley get her first deer! I don't think she might have gotten one if Dad had seen that brazen buck lumber onto the field Well done Had! GOD bless!
Apart from the big buck, it was lovely just to see you and your daughter hanging out. Reminds me of me and my Dad. Still to this day some of the best times of my life were my Dad taking me out and about, teaching me things and showing me the world. It's great to see, there's nothing more important to a girl than her relationship with her Daddy. For her developing view of the world, her own self worth and mental stability, the way she treats those around her, and what behaviour she expects from the people (especially boys) she invites into her life. Lovely to see how proud and encouraging you are of her, and what a happy, capable and well mannered wee girl she seems to be. Just lovely.
This was an example of a great father and a positive influence on there child. He is teaching and sharing values with her that will shape and mold the kind of person she will be. You want to make a memory that will last take a kid hunting or fishing. I know I will never forget when my father took me.
Absolutely love your outlook on life and the way you are preparing your daughters for the real world, just Awsome. Also, Thank You for your service, May God continue to Bless You and your family.
Way to go Dutch , teaching the kids to survive in the real world!! And your absolutely correct about other countries and there life style. Kids here stateside don’t know what they have till you go to other countries. All they know is watching TV or on the Computers to playing the wii , Nintendo games. Knowledge on growing your own food to caring for themselves once there on there own is really important knowledge to have. Awesome job Dutch!!!!👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Super great job, Hadley!! Wow... Dutch, these girls of yours are out-hunting ya!! Hehehe.... Good on you, man, you're building memories these young ladies are never gonna forget.
I know some may not agree with this video, but you can't get more American that this! Father teaching daughter how to hunt, respect for the outdoors, and how to handle a firearm, and above all to be self reliant. And to thank God for the meat. I totally believe in this!
Good man spending quality time with your girls. I do the same and to this day my 21 year old daughter shares everything with me. Now, I have to tell her to pump her brakes sometimes cause 1. I'm the dad, 2. I'm the dad and 3. The dad is retired Military, then contractor then did State & Federal Law Enforcement, worked boys home for Social Services ( had an abusive childhood, witnessed first shooting when I was 13, cleaned up first suicide when I was 13) so tried to give other boys a chance at life. To all you dads out there spending quality time with our daughters is so much more important than you possibly realize. We as men, teach them by our actions with them and their mother how a man should treat a woman. This makes the biggest impact on their lives. My hats off to you brother, came across this video and it was great. Good man and good father.
Nice, I’m an 11 year old girl and I got my first buck when I was six and I could also probably outrun and out punch a boy my age, I don’t mean to brag, but it’s true
I remember my first time shooting, I was 7 years old. One of my uncles, a retired Army First Sergeant, took my brother and I out in the woods with a .22 rifle to teach us to shoot. My brother, being older, went first. He aimed, and aimed, and aimed... and aimed, then finally shot and missed the stick we used as a target. I think he was scared by it. I pulled the rifle to my shoulder, aimed, squeezed the trigger and hit the little stick. It just felt natural to me. To end our little shooting session my uncle pulled out an old Thompson submachine gun and ran a few drum magazines through it. I was hooked and soon got my first .22 rifle and have owned firearms ever since. Nearly 60 years later my brother has never owned a firearm. The most dangerous people with a firearm are those that are afraid of it. That's why teaching children firearm safety is a good thing.
Eye on the Prize Dutch, Eye on the prize. If you blink an opportunity may disappear. LOL Next Year, buddy. Don't forget to bring your floaters. LOL :-)
'It was CRAZY', Wasted my time on this. NO EDITING, didn't show anything we all was expecting to see. Got that 15 minutes of fame though. Good job dude.
I never expected bigfoot. Think about it Dutch was way to calm. I've never seen a click bait video from Dutch. If y'all thought Bigfoot that is on you.
loved every minute of this, beautiful child and great dad,i raised mine the same way,and miss them every time i go hunting, almost cry sometimes since they are grown and gone, but still get together a few times a season
Congrats on a nice deer I also grew up in a family that hunts and fish's I just wish more people would take kids out side instead of the electronic babysitter that they are hooked on now because it's easier then spending time with their kid's
I love that you teach your girls!! You are giving them vital skills. I was born in 1953. Back then it was different, girls did girl things and boys did all the fun stuff!! Lol! I paid a lot of attention to what the boys were doing and I could take care of myself. Kids now days aren't interested, they don't want to be out of wifi range!! I would love to be out of range! :)
Bought a Henry big boy All weather repeating rifle for the wife n boys.. I made same promise for them to experience to fend and hunt for themselves... We moved to Colorado to be closer to my wife's family, hunting and fishing is good! We will fill our new big game freezer up with Elk,Deer, Antelope, turkey, pheasant, grouse, quail, Buffalo( local meat store) grow vegetables and fruits. Provide in our way for better living and wellness. Thank you for sharing! Great video! Ms Hadley you are part of the new life cycle for being a hunter and Angler... Way to go! Great job Dad... Thank you for thanking God. Blue Skeleton (Navajo Artist)
I thought Sasquatch was gonna come running out and attack one of those does. The only way this video could have gotten better is if your daughter missed that doe and hit the THE BEAST in the background! Haha..
