I’m so happy they didn’t have a video feed of themselves on the screen. The visuals are so Tool and seeing them use a canvas this large really felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity. With an event this large it’s silly for people to think they’d be able to see the performers well. It’s about the art :)
Yes, I saw an article a couple days after about how "Tool does a dis-service" to the crowd, because they only showed the view of the stage from the crowds view. But it's like that for every show, probably for well over a decade. No camera in the face of the performers that are just trying to play for the crowd, I'm sure tool isn't a band to undergo training and practice sessions on how to look good over performing songs for the crowd.
Maynard's attitude toward cell phone use by his his fans, the very fanbase that puts him where he is today, is more distracting by the security at the show than the cel phone use itself. Quite entertaining, but opposing the show itself! Lighten up. You strived to reach this level, you started off hoping to reach this level vis fans!, You're now removing these fans for recording a glimpse of their experience. Show some class. You're Maynard! Your fans may or may not have brought you your wealth, but they are still here, and you choose to punish them.
God I hope they don’t play this on their headlining tour today. Heard this song just about every show for the last 15 years. Last tour was much better where they didn’t play the same songs they’ve been playing over and over and over.
Yeah they really need to switch their songs up, it’s not like there’s that fucking many of them lol, i’m just waiting for them to phase out the fi tracks
People was sooooo boring during all the festival! If that festival happened in any country of Latinoamerica the environment would be very different! Different flavor
