Welcome back guys! I have a bunch of tools I’ve been meaning to review and I’ve been so busy at work I haven’t been able to review them so I’m going to be slowly reviewing all my tools. I will be linking every tool shown in the videos below if you’re interested in trying them. Today is the Klein Tools adjustable hole saw, they had one initially but have a great job updating their product and I love all the new features! Bathroom renovation is in the works and we’re waiting for the flooring before I public the whole video so here’s a sneak peak in the meantime. Let me know if you guys have any questions and comment below what you wanna see next!

Nice. I have a Milwaukee one just like that and I recommend you start off by going in reverse first to score the drywall so when you switch to forward it doesn’t catch and yank your wrist.

Nice video. I have a 96 year old house with plaster walls and plaster and rock lathe ceilings. I used a bi-metal 4" hole saw on LOW speed to cut many of the pull holes to rewire the home. I saved each plaster "plug" and ran 1" x 2" pine boards to patch the plugs back into my plaster walls and ceilings. The patches came out great and I could get about 20 holes done before the blade was too dull to cut any more holes. Thanks again for the video!

over the laundry? I agree 4000k is a good number. (as in it's what I use for that application - nice and white and bright - but not glaring and stark.) on talking about 2? for bedrooms - I've been doing a center quad in rooms (4 of them), and then a "ring" of 8 around the outside of the room (about 18" in from the walls). the center quad is 4000k and the ring is 3600k. both circuits on dimmers. People seem to LOVE that they can pick a color temperature and tone the room pretty much any way they want. Is it excessive? Yes! Does it feel "decadent" - oh yes, thats why people love it! But I'm not using the super cool nightlight variant you are using.

Have you tried, "Kobalt 6-3/8-in Carbide-grit Arbored Recessed Lighting Hole Saw" with the dust bowl. I went to this with putting my drill on 2 and it cuts really well.

Love your videos you put out great content. The question that I have is why the impact gun why not just use a regular drill? It’s just sheet rock asking for a friend.. lol
@tdotw77
@tdotw77 2 месяца назад
Probably cause most of us carry & use the impact 99% of the time cause we're mostly *screwing* screws, and not drilling as much. The impact is lighter & more compact than a drill\hammerdrill, and not needed cause impacts can do most 'drill' work. Personal preference for most.
@adoptedkd

@@tdotw77 that makes sense.

The fundamental problem is the vaccum is both starved for air and there is no air to move the dust inside the container so it has a chance to be caught by the single port. It's a bit of a shame vacuums don't offer a way to divert some of the exhaust back to the nozzle. It would offer an easy way to dislodge dust or control debris. Alternatively, you have a dual wall design that impedes high speed dust from exiting but offers air intake to slowet dust all back in. I feel like Bosch did something like that for their drywall cutout tool vacuum shield.

I feel like your blades only start to wobble because of how fast you are driving it into the ceiling drywall and potentially a stud or joist. Slow it down a little bit when drilling out the cans and it makes a huge difference on your tool lasting

Sorry for the ignorant question. Can wire nuts or lever nuts be used outside of an enclosure for recessed lighting?
@elonol2549
@elonol2549 2 месяца назад
Code wise, splices should always be in an enclosure. Is it a hazard? Yes. Will it start a fire? Probably not if it's done correctly. Do people still do it? Yes.

I also have a question about recessed lights they have been out to fix 12 times not even kidding. Thankfully it was under warranty but now its not and blinking again. They have used every excuse from to short a wire pinched to bad light i think it could possibly be the electric it self causing the lights to go bad. Do you know if this is possible and how i could explain to stupid electricians in my area?

@@HEYDUDEITSTONY Nothing about how the statement was shaped to seem like a joke. No markers or keys to give that impression. Whenever communicating with words only you need to be intelligent enough to get your point across. If failed, that's on the writer not the reader. You have a long ways to go b4 understanding the basics in life, probably in middle school and your biggest worry is having multiple classes and teachers... As you advance, you may want to focus on basic English skills like sentence building and basic communication. Good luck with making it to junior high, high school is gonna be a hell of a struggle for ya though if you don't catch up.

I have this thing. Works pretty well. I broke a blade after maybe 15 holes cut. Replacements blades are expensive -- really should have included some. I have mostly been using the hole saw without the hood, cause the hood doesn't fit in my toolbox. Recommend using a handled drill for that practice. The dust hood serves as a guide (like a drill press), with a bit of wobble, but maybe if I'd been using the hood I wouldn't have broken the blade so quickly. I would prob just stick to passive dust catching -- drywall dust is hard on shop vacs. @lextheelectrician Cen-Tech makes some nice vac adapter fittings.
