Good conversation, a perfect example is my Jimny. “Must be good on fuel‽ “ Sure… it’s a 1.3L… but as most of my driving is highway… due to its gearing you have to go at minimum 3800rpm to keep up at 100kph, so 4000rpm at “110”. … as such it averages 8.5L per 100klm FOR ME … where as if it was all local driving only it’d average at lot less as it is really geared more for lower speeds.

Perfect example where you can use all the information to work out the real world economy changes with avg speed

That’s why I have the Handi lol. It averages 5.9 litres per 100 in town / highway / air on / air off 🤣 I use an app called Gas Manager and every tank fill ( I never partially fill ) I add the details. So over the last 4,547 km I have averaged 5.9 L/100 in the Handi. As for the ISF. Only done 1,723 km since I have owned it and exactly 12 L/100. It varies a lot. A run up and back to the Sunshine Coast I averaged 7.8 L/100. But around town and stop start it gets about 15L /100.

I’m the ISF it would be good to hear the avg L/100 km with the avg speed - which was what I’m referring to in the video, never represent statistics in isolation or assumptions that ‘it’s mostly highway’ - always be factual with numbers - then there is no assumptions left.

@@ThatCarChannelOfficial with the Handi the average speed since I have owned it is about 43 km/h. (Garmin GPS keeps stats) ISF keeps average speed per trip. So about the same. Mid 40s.
