I’m just thinking, if you haven’t already beaten this challenge, a good weapon/tool would be the butchers chainsaw dropped during the solar eclipse. It’s got 120 damage and a fast hit rate. The ‘sparks’ that shoot out would also help rack up damage. It’s also listed under tools on the terraria wiki so it should be good to use.
fun fact about sharpening station: it actually just checks if the weapon you're holding deals melee damage (im pretty sure, I can confirm that it gives summons the buff if you're holding a melee weapon, I cant confirm if it works with swapping from any other classes weapons because ive never tested that.)
I’m excited to see if, and how, you will utilize the shroomite digging claws as it’s the only time in vanilla terraria that I actively used a tool as my main source of melee damage, and it shreds golem
@@youtubejustletmegetthelong6219 you go there with a copper shortsword, and beat it, no armor, no accessories, no hook, no mount then. If everything shreds Golem, prove it. But sure he is the easiest lategame boss.
"Couldn't we just save some time by using tools to damage enemies instead?" Well you certainly saved AN amount of time. Not in the challenge, but in your real life if you actually want to continue this lol, massive respect
Imagine being the flesh of a literal god and you watch as a man in a golf cart throws away a mythical shield taken from one of your fallen allies to make room in his pockets for some beeswax before ending your life with a fish made of stone.
Honestly, you are one of the most talented and fun to watch Terraria players out there. doing these crazy challenges is ridiculous but every time, you finish them. You are a great guy
I joined the streams during the WoF preparation and I now love watching the streams and was admittedly very sad when he was on a break. Thanks for the awesome videos Gung!
I think the mining armor might be good for this. Since everything has such low bad damage, percentage damage increases probably won’t do much, so maximizing defense and attack speed with accessories and adding attack speed with the mining set and cake might help a lot more than having damage bonuses
@@pulledpork9778 defense isn’t that important in this challenge in my opinion. If you get hit once, you’re pretty much done for anyway because you won’t be able to get away
ive conquered this challenge but only on expert mode - good luck doing it on master mode i hope you find the combo that carries early hardmode, and your last "weapon" for this run is actually surprisingly strong... edit: so hes finished this already which isnt surprising, but i guess itll be more directed towards viewers now
Imagine you're the wall of flesh, the guardian of terraria as a whole. Then some dude walks in with a golf club, a ton of bees, and a fish made of rocks and kicks your ass.
I know you said not to worry about it if I missed part 1, but the premise of this challenge is so good I had to watch part 1 before making it further into part 2.
sawtooth shark is usually better as a weapon than rockfish. it has slightly larger range, can be aimed in any direction, does not make need nor make use of melee speed (hitrate is always 6/s), and it pierces infinitely. in fact, chainsaws are basically your best option for this entire playthrough, which may be boring for some, but it's facts.
During that eow fight, should try grappling to the ceiling, it'll pull you up faster than wings, and reset the flight timer without landing avoiding the glide down onto mr wormboy.
I liked sickle very early in regular games for the autoswing, and building housing a little faster than chopping trees. Now I just use the menu option for autoswing, to save my fingers.
I do respect how you all these challenges in master mode. I hate seeing people do challenges but in normal or expert (at least expert is fair, but normal is just a bruh moment)
Just wanna say, from the 1.4.4 patchnotes, the Gungnir buff is INSANE. Went from 42 damage to 61 and now generates a shockwave. Hope that makes you happy :)
Dude you're awesome I love your videos and challenges they're amazing please keep doing them they're so entertaining to watch. I wonder how the moonlord fight will go. I remember being on the livestream and telling you to get lots of fish because you'll probably lose the boss fights alot. Nice memories
“The hardest boss”? Honestly I think thats gonna be the moon lord based on both his damage output and his movement (semi-stationary around you). I’m assuming you’re gonna be using the laser drill though, so that range might not be as bad as I first thought.
Its amusing to see the EoW fight when Lucy is very good weapon for the absolute classic strategy. Full buff up, all the buff/regen furniture, and just build a small box around yourself and never stop swinging.
