My surprising favorite makita tool is the 40V Brushless 270mm Rail Circular Saw HS011GZ. Great for fencing, run the track, get all the posts square and level. The saw is light enough and manageable to use every day. I was expecting a scary horrible torque monster, it's surprisingly controllable even when cutting posts at 1.8m.
Got some money for Christmas, and low and behold, it's the right amount for the Microwave... I'm gonna do it! Been wanting one since we brought them into the store!
I got the impact from Japan. Your recommendation was spot on - it is perfection. Coincidently the small blade left saw has seen a lot of use in my hand - very good saw! Somehow the battery appears to run longer on this than on the large blade left saw doing the same tasks.
Hey tools. Do you know if makita is planning to release some of their battery powered staplers in europe. They have them in japan for more than a year..
they could make snowmobile and electric bicycles for kids 😮 or even for grown, with 4x18v 😳👍 kind of if you dont work anymore but have a lot of accumulators. or invent kind of screwdriver that you could use as a motor for bicycle with usual 18v 🤔
I bought 7, 2 LXT 5 XGT, Gotta say all the tools I upgraded to 40v were worth it, especially the router, it tears through much tougher wood and the bits seem to last longer
I bought the Makita Lantern with the digital radio based on your review for camping and around the house stuff and have just bought the kit with the extended pole saw, hedge trimmer and whipper snipper with more batteries and another fast charger. Seems that I now have as many batteries and chargers as a tradie. I think I have issues.................. Thanks for the videos. Hope you have a great festive season.
76mm grinder I think 173 impact is japan only so i bought a 172 by mistake still pretty good but i want that ring light Waiting impatiently for 3 inch nailer Couple of grinders Heat gun The lxt barrow is fantastic
This gives me a headache! Why would they make the best impact in 18v and not the 40v, where do you go to see the latest versions of tools, it's so confusing with all the different #'s for the same tool! My head hurts!
They alternate back and forth between the 18V flagship and the 40V flagship. The 40V is still rated for more torque, has a couple extra modes and has the Dual Spring Technology (which increases IPM quite a bit up to 4600). But in reality they have about the same torque.
I can't believe the little 6 1/4 with the removable side of the base plate wasn't in there... awesome little saw and bought it from your review for a large floor removal during the year. Love your work Merry Christmas bro
Knew it......your top choice of 2023 had to be what it is for sure. Can't wait for the UK to get the DTD173 (even though i just got another DTD172 in my collection) Can't beat the functionality of this DTW172 impact driver compared to other brands. excited to see what Makita has to offer in the way of LXT Batteries as from experience here in the uk Makita takes their time to make sure things are good before they get put out. Have a great Xmas ans see you in the new year 2024.
