I'll be 29 this summer I can remember running home and catching Tenchi, Zoids, Dragon ball, dragon ball z and Gundum after school thru the week. And catching the night block of dragon ball z cell saga.. I think I was around 12. Great memories. Hard to believe it was so long ago. Time fly's,but I'll never for get those times
Bro that's awesome I got into toonami back in 1998 and I got hooked into it first anime I watched 12:30am was DBZ ever since I would come home from school watch 3 hours of toonami do homework and go to sleep for school and do it all over again this was our childhood I feel you bro I miss it too
Yes I did have this on an old VHS tape. I spent most of my childhood recording tv shows and now that I own most of them on dvd I like to preserve the old promos and bumpers on here.
Knightwatcher189 Is there a chance that u could make flash drive copies of those toonami, fox kids, and kids we r3cordings... Including episodes? Cause the internet already has promos, but the exact aired episodes with the promos would be lit 😎
BRO I swear to god I thought I imagined Toonami having the Rising Sun Block in the morning and the night time one was Midnight Run. Thank you for helping me know I wasn't tripping 😂
Yep the combination of DBZ, Gundam Wing and Sailor Moon backed up by Batman/Superman Adventures, Tenchi, Ronin Warriors, Batman Beyond, Zoids helped propel Toonami to new heights. That 2000-2001 period was Toonami at it's peak
@@blueblur2273 It's crazy to think that they aired the entirety of the Android/Cell arc over like only four months and then took three years for the Buu Arc
Seeing these but it feels like it was just yesterday. I don't remember remember them, but as soon as I see something it comes back into my mind. I miss this so much!
2000 for me. But thankfully my brothers and their friends helped me grow up with everything they did. Ie early GameCube and dbz and other early Cartoon Network shows. #blessed
Knightwatcher189 Bro thank you so much for recording this and every promo and bumps man. I havent seen this since elementary school and watching this is just so nostalgic. Thanks again man
How did you get this footage? honestly did you just have it recorded and saved on VHS tapes because you new you would need it 14 years later or something? but man I'm having some serious nostalgia induced flashbacks.
Such and awesome lineup at the time reboot, sailormoon, dbz, gundam wing, tenchi muyo and batman. Even though I was only interested in reboot, sailormoon, dbz and tenchi muyo. But I remember coming home from school and turning this on lol
These from the 2000 Bumpers after "The Intruder" which is cool. Also most of the bumps are and also repeatedly the same thing except for the angle of the Absolution which is different. Great job on getting this! #Toonami
I also the promos are from the time Tom1 was still in control and the others when it's Tom2 currently. Also great to see "Pardon Our Dust", that was enjoyable
omg I remember this I remember sitting with my dad and watching this like Naruto omg the good old days but im glad that its back on cartoonetwork will actually adult swim yea I miss the old toonami
The Reboot bumpers I hadn't seen using the underside of Absolution v1 using data screen v2. Those are pretty awesome. I did not know Sailor Moon would be scheduled after Reboot since the order was always the reverse. Wish I could get the bumpers from after the Intruder Episode 4
I remember I saw this when I was a kid But I didn't know that toonami died like at 2010 or something So I forgot about it over the years....... Until attack on Titan showed up!!! I watch a lot of anime now because of toonami, and it Great!!! :)
Midnight Run, Rising Sun, OG Toonami, even the brief ALL DAY Full Cycle runs.... T.O.M. & Sara could easily use this with the new stuff now! Should we maybe suggest this to them 🤔...?
Up until mid-2001 I think Toonami had the best lineup. 3 hours of a variety of shows from both sides of the globe and all kinds of variety to keep us entertained. I didn’t really like how around 2002-2003 it was mostly just 2 hours of Dragonball/Z and an hour of another show.
in all honesty, i never found the frieza/android saga (or even vegeta the character) all that interesting back then. tenchi, gundam, outlaw star, ronin warriors and reboot still hold up though =3
