You're welcome. Glad to hear you liked it. Okay, cool - I also find the Whiteboard and Business Friendly styles more than enough-but still have an aesthetics preference for the Contemporary style 🤗
The pricing is a big blow for Vyond. I'm ok with paying $49 but still having a watermark. That's almost a minus 2-star for me. I mean $49 and still exporting a watermark takes a lot of value on how professional the video looks. If it was used for a business it just calls out cheap quality even if the aesthetics of the characters are better. Thank you for the information
I agree - that's not okay. Essentially, they don't want you onboard unless you are ready to pay real money for a Premium or Professional subscription. That's just the way it is and what we have to accept..
@@RuedRiisCom thanks for the feedback. I may only use it for 1 promo video I’ll put together myself. But the combination of time and a monthly cost upgrade without watermark to produce a video will still be more affordable than outsourcing. When I get round to this video I will be sure to use your affiliate link. I appreciate your information.
Hi Rued. Thanks for sharing this comparison. That was very helpful. I'm struggling to decide which tool I should use for my video needs as a freelancer in graphics and web design. If I had talent, budget and time, I would go with Adobe After Effects, but I need a slick tool to do some explainers and animated whiteboards. Vyond is too expensive for me. Toonly could be an option. I will have a look at your other reviews to have more information. Thanks again and be well! 🍀
This is a great video. You explained the pros and cons so well. I am now very interested in Vyond. The biggest downside from what I can see, however, is not supporting multiple animations per scene, and the price. I will have to think since I am new to explainer video software.
If you take this course, www.ruedriis.com/go-beyond-vyond, you'll both learn how to use multiple actions per scene AND get a discount for Vyond, so it'll solve both your problems 🤗
Totally agree. I have used Adobe's Character Animator as well as Animaker, and there is no limit to how many avatar actions you can use in one scene. And I work for a very small non-profit organization with a limited budget, so the cost of Vyond (or Animaker) is daunting. Even the cost of Rued's training is prohibitive for me.
Rued, as a beginner in this field, I found the style and content of this comparison video to be amazingly useful. It goes into just enough detail on the functionality of each product, to help me decide what to go for. Thank you so much. I will check out your other videos now.
Very helpful, particularly because Toonly doesn't allow a free trial. I love Vyond but as a freshly graduated, newly minted ID, I really can't afford the monthly fee at this point. Trying to decide if the $67 Toonly is worthwhile for me or if I should just hold out for Vyond...or a job offer, lol.
I've hit the like, subscirbe, bell but now wondering what's next to do because this video deserves more than that.. I wish i can like it 10 times or hundred times more... Thank you for the efforts
Hello Rued, im here just want to say, Thank You. Your video is Awesome, very detaill, systematic, and to the point. Thank you for spending your time to explain this to us. Have a good day
Couple of questions about Vyond: Can you also create (draw) your own characters to use instead of using their templates? Also, for lip synching, can it be done for two characters in the same video or just one at a time? Thank you in advance.
Thank you Rued, Lots of great info. I was about to purchase Vyond, when I clicked on the terms of service and found this term, "No right or license is granted to display or perform any Video (in whole or in part), over any of broadcast, cable, satellite television or subscription-based or pay-per-download over-the-top (OTT) platforms or in any public performance (i.e., including, without limitation, exhibition over the Internet)." Sounds like you can't use your video creations for RU-vid videos. Is that what it sounds like to you? I wanted it specifically for my RU-vid videos. That is why I am asking. Thank you! Naomi
Is it possible that you’ve made the mistake of pasting parts of an old Terms of Service text? I read the latest one from 2021 and don’t see the sentence about Internet. “No right or license is granted to display or perform any Video (in whole or in part), over any of broadcast, cable, satellite television or subscription-based or pay-per-download over-the-top (OTT) platforms.” But then again, you’re lawyer, so correct me if I’m wrong. Then I’ll look more into it.
@@RuedRiisCom Thank you for your response. I believe it is up to date as it popped up before I finalized the purchase. It was in the restrictions section of the terms. Anyway, thank you again! Naomi
Im so greatfull for your comparison that was well explained, can you please tell us where can we find a complete video explainer done by Vyond so we can see how it looks like
@@RuedRiisCom haha do you have specific one you like? cause there is a very diverse and woderful videos all around the channel, if you could provide me with link that will be great
Can't compare vyond with any other online software out there...toonly is just fine for creating powerpoint style videos that have no personality while in Vyond, things go beyond:)
Great comparison. I wanted to know which of these two services allows clicking on answers within the video. I want to create training videos with questions and staff answer possible answers within the video. Is this possible with these two services or do I need a different service? Thank you
You need a LMS platform of some sort. To host your videos within a system that allows for clicks, branching and tracking. Many use Articulate as a platform :)
Thanks a lot - and yeah, me too; where are all those subscribers?! 😆 I think my area of expertise is a bit too narrow for the millions to come rolling in..
@@RuedRiisCom Just signed up for the pro monthly, today... Needed to export my videos... I´ll send you the link once I post it on YT so you can laugh at my inabilities LOL
@@RuedRiisCom As promised, here's my two videos so far... I don't want to blow my own horn here, but I think I came up with some really cool transitions lol Thanks again for the really cool tips. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tWDCMhq2Qgg.html
Hey Rued, I got a quick question for you, what software should I go for if I want to make inspirational and motivational videos. Looking forward to your response
Hi guys; here are the links I recommend checking out before signing up for any of the tools: 🔶 Toonly FAQ: bit.ly/toonlyFAQ 🔷 Vyond Mini-Course: www.ruedriis.com/store
Thanks Rued, for the excellent review. I have a question. Do I have to pay an extra fee of 99 dollar every-time I download a video for a client (third part)? I don't understand what they mean with third part? Could you explain it to me? Thank you!
Also Compatibility: VyondD works smoothly from Firefox browser. So, Mac, Linux, Android, ChromeOS, Windows all work the same, even when you run on nonstandard hardware like, say, a Raspberry Pi. Toonly... Well, yeah. Get yourself an x86-64 Windows box, else you're out of luck. Wine is a chance, but I wouldn't count on it.
I have Toonly and its just too limited in terms of characters, basically every Toonly video has the same characters wearing the same clothes. Also another annoying thing is, you can only chose 1 action at a time.
Hi nice video, I'm interested in making 4-5sec animations like those you would get from Final Fantasy Summons (game) do you have any suggestions on how it can be done? Thanks.
bro..i have a doubt..do we have an option to remove/disappear an element after a fixed number of seconds without using scribble option or overwriting with some other elements??
Hi Rued, vyond charges freelancers $99 if they wish to transfer the rights of a video to a client. Does toonly have similar fees? For me vyond is just not a financially feasible choice because of this fee!
Damn, I wish I have watched this video earlier because I already bought Toonly. Needless to say, if only Vyond has that Lifetime payment option like Toonly has, that would be great.
@@RuedRiisCom I recall you were comapring these requirements on one of your videos - does toonely do the same? I believe on some extend, they allow to re-sell it but not on basic license? Let me know if you happen to remember this as I didnt find any info on toonly - thanks!
The problems I see with Vyond are the cost and maybe how easy it is for a beginner to use it... considering that you have an almost 500$ course on how to use it suggests that it's not that easy to use and also adds to the total cost. When paying 160$ a month for a service I'm expecting to get useful videos on how to use it in that price. I think you are doing a great job in promoting Vyond and maybe in selling your course. I'd recommend to any of the viewers to take your information with a grain of salt and try the apps/platforms themselves before deciding to buy any of the plans. Thank you for your info and best of luck
In these cases is where I call this software programs "American Software". Why? For people who live outside the United States, the prices are way too high. $159 in my country = $3180 which is almost my salary at month
WOW... Imagine paying $50 a month for a program that still embeds their watermark... Watermarking is almost ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS for free versions of a product.
