I didn't really like the dolls when I was younger, but the movies were amazing! Fairy Pixies is my favorite. Since I'm still a doll collector now as a teen I may start collecting Bratz but idk yet.
In my childhood of the 2000's I was OBSESSED with Littlest Pet Shop! I still have my collection of pets and playsets before Blythe or whoever that girl was came around. Oh and I had Pixel Chix, too!
A E S T H E T I C My mom NEVER let me have one (she never liked dolls with unusually large heads) so EVERY TIME my babysitter would bring my brother and I over to her house I raided her little sister’s room and made a HUMUNGOUS mess of her Bratz. P.S. I never cleaned up toys growing up unless someone made me.
Gamer Forever polly pockets were revamped in the late 90s and were still popular in the 2000s :) i played with the larger doll that came with rubber clothes all throughout my childhood! i was a little surprised they weren't on this list, along with pixel chix!
These toys were my childhood me and sisters had so many webkinz, bratz and my scenes dolls and silly bands and Zhu zuh pets 😭💕 Edit: wow 25 likes thx 😍👍
Even though I didn't buy all these, I'm happy to say I remember every single thing on this list including the honorable mentions. Proud 2000s kid right here. :) I'm probably the only person here that didn't like Bratz though. The movies were good but I didn't like the dolls. I was always more of a Winx and Barbie person (Still collect those dolls oops.)
I remember my pre-k had these Bratz dolls and a dollhouse and all the girls would play with them. I would always try to get my hands on a doll and play with it because i wasn't allowed to have Bratz 😂😂
Oh god,the nostalgia! In elementary, everyone had at least one Silly bandz. I had so many that when I would put them all,it would reach to my shoulders! I remember that my brother always talked about Bionicles. I didn't have a Zhu-zhu pet,but I still remember comercials. Beyblade was so popular that during reccess, almost whole my class would sing the theme song. And I still have two Bratz dolls somewhere. Good times...
My favorite 2000s toys were the 3rd generation of My Little Pony. It gets a lot of flak from fans of the current generation of MLP for being too "girly" but you have to admit the quality of them were so much better than the current MLP toys of today. I buy them for my little cousin and my niece for birthdays and they just look sad compared to what I had as a kid.
i have the cards even today but i like to do more yugioh role plays there i can get the better feeling of the anime style im 21 but i still like to do anime and cartoon role plays like skunk fu and beyblade role plays or just chill whit some pokemon role plays because i fell closer to the anime that wey :)
You forgot the 2004 LPS. Even though the first ever LPS, the ones made by Kenner, were launched when my mum was fourteen. But the old Hasbro LPS will always be in our hearts.
When I was watching the honorable mentions and thought ''Man would it be funny if Bratz was #1 because I barely remembered them.'' I predicted the future!!!
I remember silly bands, I remember everyone at school would be trading them and eventually they got banned, lol. I also can't forget beyblades and Bratz omg
I was born in 2006 so I am still a kid (i'm 12) but I still loved some of these toys. I played webkinz all the time and silly bands were my life. I remember all the boys in my grade loving beyblade. I had zhu zhu pets because my parents wouldn't let me get a hampster and I wanted one. I never had bratz but my cousins did and I always played with them when I went to my cousins.
Uh....what? As much as I like the Bratz movies all they teach girls is to be a slut and to wear revealing clothes. That's why I only owned two Bratz dolls as a kid and owned and still own over 50 Barbie dolls. Barbie teaches girls they can be anything, that's why there is a whole line of dolls where she's everything to a chef to a doctor. Not to mention her movies always teach lessons. The classics did and even the new ones do even though some Barbie ''fans'' say they don't. With the dolls they have a lot of diversity because they even made AA and Latina versions of her for basically every doll the put out excluding some. She represents different countries and cultures through her dolls and has multiple body types for the dolls, something Bratz doesn't have. Bratz fashion wasn't even that good for the dolls at least. Barbie is basically the queen of dolls since she's been around since the 50s. But all this is coming from someone who thinks there's enough diversity in the TV market so.
well barbie did have a black best friend she was a rare side kick in the 2000's but in bratz all the 4 girls were the main girl and from different race groups (Jade is Chinese American, Sasha is African America, Yasmin is Latina and of course Cole is white), also their not "sluts" or teach anything bad as their fashion is based off what was popular in the 2000's (compared to today people wore clothes that show more skin) and seeing as though they were made for the 8-12 age group and when i was in that age group assumed they just wore American teen clothes i strongly disagree with them promoting anything bad. and yes barbie has improve a lot with showing more race and even body types in the 2000's she didn't have all that much diversity to her line and yes she did promote being what ever you dream of doing but i guess as a kid i always felt like she was a 34 year old women because she had so many careers (even though she is some how 16?) and apart from her fairy and mermaid lines she always didn't have much going for her until recently when i have started to like barbie a lot for progressing a lot with her lines (my fave has to be made to move barbie), sure i still like bratz more but i'm a big fan of 2000's stuff and as a doll collector i for sure admire barbie for being the best of the doll lines even if i don't like her the most.
I remember when Sillybands were huge, the trend in my town was to go to the local amusement park and throw them onto the roof of a building that was next to where one of the roller coasters sat at the end of the ride while waiting for the ride in front to get off. That roof was covereddddd
Oh my gods, I always wanted a robot pet, never got one though ;.; I guess I'm the opposite of the "always wanted a real pet but only got a robot one". I did grow up with pets, still wanted a robot though. And I loved Bratz, me and my sisters had a pretty large collection of 'em :D
I remember having hundreds of silly bands. I would always trade them with my friends, and I would get into arguments about the sword shaped ones 😂😂 (they were considered “rare” and you were cool if you had one in my elementary school)
Jesus I remember being obsessed with Webkinz, it was the only time my mom would let me onto the computer when I was little. But, I remember trying to collect them all. Which was stupid, but I was six.
Og bratz were amazing. They were like barbie, if she gave you every little nook and cranny under the sun of detail. Also they were making non-white main dolls, which was cool, since barbie is still only seen as a white girl.
I had well over 1000 Littlest Pet Shop figures and around 12 playsets. Not to mention the bag of accessories. I still have the playsets and accessories. I sold the figures a while back.
I had a Fur-Real Friend as a little girl, mine was a kitty cat. I also had a Betty Spaghetti and a MyScene Fab Faces Kennedy doll (Kennedy was the blonde one)
i have so many memories from the times these toys were trending, like trading bratz clothes with my best friend, or when the silly bands were a thing in middle school; kids would fight to the death over a silly band
Yaasss! My Queens of Bratz on the first place. They were a big part of my childhood and I considered them as my best friends, since I had none in my childhood. Nowadays, I still have them and I'm glad I ever played with them. Bratz ruled and they still rule.
