Simpler? It started with the government coordinating a "terror attack" as an excuse to invade two countries in the Middle East so that defense contractors could get their lucrative contracts back that they lost at the end of the Cold War, leading to a war that would last for two decades, bleeding our nation of its servicepeople, money, and resources. Basically what I'm trying to say is that throughout history, the world has never been simple. Morons can always be counted on to moron, evil always begets evil, and human nature at its core doesn't truly change.

@@davidkouassi7453 The only ones I felt that are hybrids are the ones born around 2000 - 2002 and even then they're not fully a 2000s kid like us 90s babies. I was born in 95 and my whole childhood was spent during the decade. I don't even really relate to anyone born in 03 so I just can't see it but maybe that's just me 🤷‍♂️

10. We used to have Blockbuster and Hollywood Video in the same area, as well as a Family Video not too far. I remember we would always go to GameCrazy. 9. Didn't MTV, but I loved Vh1's I Love Series and MTV Hits. We mostly used Music Choice for music. 8. Didn't really know about them 7. Personalized usernames were weird, but creative 6. My brother was always buying minutes (remember people had to do that?? 5. We didn't use those sites, but we used iTunes to burn and buy music. Good times. 4. My aunt would always play Solitare; I remember playing kids' games online and on CD roms both at home and school. 3. Don't forget Cartoon Network! 2. My brother was always on his MySpace. I vowed never to use social media, not even at the time. 1. I remember messing with my Uncle's iPod. I think I got one of my own eventually My honorable mention: Video Games rocked! Gamecube and PS2 had the most iconic games.

I *still* use flip phones and except for a Samsung sliding phone I used between 2010 & 2013, I've never used anything but flips (and as of now, some companies still making them.) I used LimeWire, Kazaa & iMesh as a preteen and teen for all my *totally not illegal* music (LimeWire was my go to.) Now you can just record audio from whatever source to Audacity or other similar software (and it saves you from the viruses 😆) Not too long ago, I saw some kids rolling around a mall in wheelies; I didn't even know they were still out there.

I'm so so glad I grew up in the middle of social media and internet becoming a main thing. By the time everyone "had to be on social media" and that was all that counted for popularity and seeming cool, I had already graduated and could gladly delete my facebook account and never look back

For me it’s weird because I’m an early 90’s baby who was a tween/teen in the 2000’s. I grew up with things like Blockbuster, Hollywood video, playing solitaire on Microsoft Windows 1995 or Windows Professional, dealt with dial up, had to save my homework assignments on a floppy disk and not to mention, I grew up with shows such as Kim Possible, Lizzie McGuire, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the original Pokémon, All that, The Amanda show, Drake and Josh Even Stevens, Charmed, Moesha,My Wife and Kids, Girlfriends and I even watched the Maury show and Jerry Springer (as a 10 year old kid)
