I've been picking 12s since 1964 and still play my Yamaha 1982 FG260 as my goto acoustic. Some of my favourites: 1. Love In Vain (Robert Johnson/Stones) 2. Goin' Up The Country (Henry Thomas/Canned Heat) 3. San Fransisco Bay Blues (Jesse Fuller/Jack Elliot/Peter Paul, Mary etal) 4. The Candy Man (Mississippi John Hurt) 5. Midnight Special (xdeeexx/Leadbelly/Creedence) 6. As Tears Go By (Jagger-Richard/M. Faithful) 7. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away (Lennon/McCartney 8. Wild Horses (Jagger-Richard)
You play all this 12-string classics very well and your Jumbo 12-string guitar sounds amazing ! I wish one day you can perform the Gordon Lightfoot classic : "Canadian Railroad Trilogy " : )
1 Stairway 2 That's the way 3 When the Levee Breaks 4 Over the Hills and Far Away 5 The song Remains The Same 6 Travelling Riverside Blues 7 Living Loving Maid 8 Tangerine 9 Thank You 10 I'll Never Find Another You Now your education is complete!
Great video. Fantastic selection of songs. Really enjoyed adding Mama, I’m Coming Home, I Stay Away and The World I Know. I’ve always loved Angie on 12-string, as well as Over the Hills and Far Away. Your playing is great. You could easily do another list with 10+ more songs. Maggie Mae , Hole Hearted, and Ventura Highway would be nice additions.
Why not play Famous Acoustic Riffs on the 12 String this time? It's interesting hear what 6 String Guitar pieces would sound like on a 12 String. Octave4Plus makes a .006 Gauge B4 String that broadens the range.
Played beautifully...Guitar sounds great...I'm in two minds about one of those or the Yamaha fg820 as my first 12 string....Many thanks for sharing your video....
enhorabuena por el video.. una pregunta recomiendas esa guitarra?, está muy bien de precio pero que tal la calidad de los materiales y durabilidad? gracias y un saludo.
Well played and nice selection of course. In these kinds of compilations I always miss songs from Melissa Etheridge. There are countless songs where the 12-string is the backbone...... is she a blocker as well?
@@playzycoversyt6172 Não é caro, não. Na verdade é um dos violões 12 cordas com melhor custo/benefício do mercado. Tá na cotação de hoje saindo pelo equivalente a uns 1400 reais.
Loved it man.....great sound and song choice, and playing was top notch. Somebody already beat me to it but I will add it again....Heartbreak Station by Cinderella......and I will add Sunshine by Nazareth.
I just discovered your channel looking for some HB CLJ-412e videos. Man, great playing and great recording setup. On HB, did you do any setup to the guitar (nut, bridge, strings height, etc.) or is it on the video how it came from the shop?
Actually, if you want to go by the chart position of the song, the number 1 12 string acoustic song would have to be the one that knocked the Beatles off number 1 in the mid 60's, at the height of their fame, and it was a worldwide number1.
I bought the cheapest Harley Benton 12 string guitar last week from Thomann. The frets have sharp edges. Is it the same with this guitar too? It is scaring that it may hurt the fingers while playing...
