EGOISTE Chanel i didn't like at first and I was going to get rid of it but now that i haven't used it for a while for some reason it smell so good and i like even more I am glad you did a review ✌🏾
I feel you! Egoiste can be challenging at first, because of that carnation and spices, which give a mature, old-school(ish) character to the scent. But when you take some time to appreciate it, you can see how good it is. Pure masculine elegance 👌👌
I checked Santalum out: it REALLY IS a great sandalwood. I have tried so many, because Sandalwood is my favourite note and this one really stands out as one of the best ever. It jumped to the top of my to-buy list. Thanx for the great suggestion

Hi Joao, I love Sandalwood too.... one of my favorite note in perfumery. My fav are : Santal de Mysore Lutens (by far !), Sacred wood by Kilian (unique), Santal Majuscule (so addictive), L'Arbe d'IUNX (amazing and underrated), Quartier Latin Memo (on my wish list) and Bois des Iles Chanel sooo chic. Oddly I don't like at all Santal Blush and can't explain why...
Tom Ford is putting a lot of the discontinued private blends into the regular line. Someone posted a photo of Coasta Azzurra in a the Beau de Jour Signature style bottle. Maybe Santal Blush goes to the signature line

I love santal blush by TF! My other fave sandalwood frags are Santal de Kandy by Boucheron and Dries Van Noten which smells to me like musc ravageur with sandalwood :)
I'm curious to smell Santal Complet. I like Santal Royal very much ,too.Egoiste is very elegant...i smelled it only once on a guy and complimented him immediately.
Santal Complet has a delicious, creamy coconut note with sandalwood that it's to die for 😍 that one and Saahara Oud are the best from Fragrance du Bois, imo 😁 Oh Egoiste is so good!
You have to try oud santal from cartier, sprayed it on a paper card at the airport, lasted for more than two weeks on the paper, simply magical...to me the best and pure santal I ever smelled in my life, it was so beautifull that ever time I smelled it, I had to sit on the bed, relax and enjoy it, it makes you feel the weirdest sensations, it put me on my knees! A must!!
I know this is an older video but just in case, do you not feel that PR Santalum is quite similar to Tam Dao edp? I got a partial bottle of Santalum and don’t get myrrh, and spices so much. Instead it seems strikingly similar to Tam Dao edp, which I own and was disappointed. Maybe I just need more time to test. Just wanted your thoughts since you’ve had both (in this video in fact). Thank you!

I always thought sandalwood was for men’s perfumes but boy was I wrong. I loooooooooove sandalwood and Mysore is my favorite. I have a collection of sandalwood fragrances now. It’s not hard to find Mysore if you are willing to pay. Usually small Indie perfume houses have Mysore. But it’s not cheap. But I’ll treat myself once in a while. I do love Mysore. I’m not a fan of anything le Labo. Overpriced low quality cheap ingredients crap perfumes. The only Le Labo full bottles I own are Another 13 and The Noir 19 and Fleur de Orange. That’s it . I do have a 15ml decant of Santal 33. Not a fan, I’m gonna add it to the pile of decants to sell. Now for Guerlain Santal Royal. I love it too .
I know, right? They only discontinue the best fragrances 😔 I need to try Santal Noir too, although I already heard that it shares similarities with Chanel Egoiste. Oh yes! Santal Complet is amazing, that coconut note blended with sandalwood is so delicious 😍

I would say Santal Royal is creamier. Santal 33 to me is drier. It features AUSTRALIAN sandalwood, which I Don think has the same creaminess of Indian sandalwood.
I don't know how to describe Tam Dao. Because at my nose, the smell is like lost of direction because i don't smell sandalwood at all. I prefer Tom Ford Santal Blush, Diptyque Oud Palao and Guerlain Royal Santal.
@@ScentedMoments It's an old British brand known mostly for their luxury shaving soaps and creams. Their sandalwood is so good and priced like a designer frag.

Have you tried Kerosene Santalum Slivers, it’s amazing and even Aaron Terence Hughes Santal is very good. I don’t like ATH but some of his perfumes are pretty good. Trust me I hate to admit it. But he’s done a great job. Just don’t buy most of his others, they’re not good. A few are. Not all

Great video! Sandalwood is a quite important scent in Buddhism(like incense to Christianity? I guess) Sandalo is on my purchase list along with Coromandel and Angelique Noire. Try Santal de Mysore from Serge Lutens, its really nice!
My favorite sandalwood fragrance hands down is Xerjoff Ivory Route. It’s so regal and comforting at the same time with great performance... lots of compliments with this one. Have you ever gotten your nose on that one?
