Sometimes, I get the impression that Lios may have Aspergers syndrome. A God given talent when it comes to his obsession, but a total awkward loser when it comes to socializing and judging people. Maybe that's what makes him so interesting.

The Dangers in My Heart crushed all the competition last season and made history as the first anime to sweep an entire season of weekly rankings by taking the #1 spot from start to finish in both Anime Corner and Anime Trending. Kaiju No.8 is a surprise hit for me as someone who is not used to battle shonen anymore. And finally, Delicious in Dungeon receiving some love as the story gets deeper and deeper.

Dungeon Meshi has no right being so good, at the start it's just a comedy cooking Anime. But the fight scenes and how the story progresses and becomes a bit more serious, it was something unexpected but amazing

I love "Delicious In Dungeon" it's a true delight. I was saying "Yes" an awful lot when I saw it become number one on this video. I also just got done watching the latest episode. You get to learn a little bit about Zen-Ji's back story.

Trigger made a PV for Dungeon Meshi years before the official anime began airing and they waited for the manga to be finished to start the adaptation So I'm pretty hopeful the manga will get a second season and so a complete adaptation

Other than top 4, I might not agree with but I'm so glad to see that "Delicious in Dungeon" is getting its flower properly among the anime community. Definitely, I have no doubt that any anime in this year is coming close to that masterpiece.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ It has everything and it excels in all of it too.. This is a rarity and people must acknowledge this.

Didn't see Dungeon Meshi anywhere and was getting worried. Was not disappointed at number 1. As a person who comes from 90s anime, I've been super tired of the tropes and fan service that's plaguing anime now. Gave Dungeon Meshi a go after being out of the anime loop for years and was so pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

Like Demon Slayer, the anime is carried by its adaptation. The content itself is pretty shallow (overused and unoriginal plot, cliché characters, usual shonen tropes, wacky humor that doesn't fit the serious tone of the series, did I mention the mediocre plot by the way ?)

@@Christopher_Adler Dont worry, cliche tropes are one the things a great portion of the anime watchers enjoy, for some reason. Everyone cries about originality, but then sucks up and praises the same tropes in anime over and over again

@@RutabegaNG Oh I indeed am not into either Demon Slayer or Kaiju N°8, I reckon the anime adaptations are better than the manga but the source material is pretty average at best and nothing special (yes, I read both of the manga)

@@sercba8728 The cliché tropes are tiring, especially in battle shonen, but I can see why some people enjoy them But when you begin exploring other types of anime, you tend to view those tropes with a harsher critical eye than before

You gained a lot of good will with me on this list for mentioning Wind Breaker which has the best action choreography by far of any show this year, but lost me a bit with the weakest seasons of Slime and Demon Slayer right after that. Also sorry, not sorry, but Dangers in My Heart had nothing on A Sign of Affection for me in the romance department. You do win me back with Delicious in Dungeon at Number 1 though.

Didn’t expect Dungeon Meshi to be #1, but I’m not complaining. It’s likely to be my personal number one by the year’s end. Also glad to see Dangers In My Heart on the list, a school romance that is about the male MC changing himself for the better and not just out of motivation for love. If I watched this in middle school I would have been inspired to be more open and sociable like Ichikawa too.

Solo Leveling, Kaiju #8, Apothecary Diary, Yagatarasu (sp?) The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master, Heaven Officials Blessing, An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride (make these titles shorter, guys!), Villainess Level 99, Demon Slayer (not as big a fan of the Hashira Arc). Liked aspects of Unnamed Memory (Oscar!) except the last episode & whole thing was too rushed to me. Heavily revisiting Bungo Stray Dogs - what a great show! Looking forward to more Spy Family next season!

What makes Delicious in Dungeon so great is how much it catches you off guard. Like it’s already a great show but the way it kept building the story and building the world. It kept providing layers to the great characters. Provided great comedy just when you need it to balance out the heavy stuff. The superb cooking scenes. The chemistry between the party members. The slow but sure building of the strengths and weaknesses of all the monsters and character classes you meet along the way. I’m a huge fan of Solo Leveling bc of its badass appeal so I would be tempted to give it number 1 but this time WatchMojo is right. Delicious in Dungeon is the best show I’ve seen this year. I mean besides One Piece of course.

They shot their own credibility in the foot; point 1, it’s established that the audience has been upset with Tensura Season 3 thus far, point 2, 8 out of 10 entries on this list haven’t concluded airing (most only three quarters finished) so it’s premature to call them “the best” when their quality could nosedive

Kiju No.8 is so damn good, along with Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou Season 2 (AKA Misfit at Demon Academy Season 2), Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Season 3, Vampire Dormitory, Re:Monster, Undead Memory, The New Gate, Sentai Daishikkaku AKA Go Go Loser Ranger, Mecha anime of the year would Brave Bang Bravern which is one awesome wholesome anime, Dragon Raja got it's Japanese release with an English sub to it, Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu, Shinkalion Change the World for those that like Gundam and Transformers combine in this, also, I can't forget Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life which is freaking good

Honorable mention has to go to Undead Unluck for just finishing last month after running in December. As far as I am concerned this is the year of anime~ Hollywood is taking a back seat so far. Like there's still Fairytail 100 years quest, Danmachi Season 5 and possible Black Clover Season 5, as well as Rise of the Shield Hero Season 4

Undead Unluck is a 2023 technically so it doesn't belong on this list And there clearly has been more interesting years for anime than 2024 so far, Fairy Tail/Danmachi/Black Clover/Shield Hero aren't really top quality either
